SLICE(R) Cutting Systems Cut, Burn, Pierce Hard-To-Cut Surfaces

St. Louis - June 3, 2002 - New Arcair® SLICE® cutting systems cut, burn or pierce virtually any metallic, non-metallic or composite material.

The versatile system is ideal for applications including plant maintenance, building renovation and demolition, scrap cleanup and salvage work. SLICE systems are also suited for burning through bridge steel, concrete-lined pipe and highway guardrails.

SLICE systems require no preheating, and are three times faster on 3" mild steel than oxyacetylene cutting systems. They use a special, patented cutting rod. Operators supply oxygen and either 12-volt battery (for portable applications) or welding machine to cut virtually anything, anywhere.

Features of the SLICE torch include a comfort-designed pistol grip, an operator shield for protection from heat and sparks, and squeeze lever for easy oxygen control. The entire torch (including cables and cutting rod) weighs less than 7 lbs. Several portable "SLICE Packs" are available.
