Precision Keyway Broach Set Cuts Keyways in Small Size Bores
Greenfield, MA -- A complete set of high speed steel broaches, bushings and necessary shims capable of cutting 1/16", 3/32" and 1/8" keyways in 5 bore sizes from 1/4" to 1/2" is now being marketed by The duMont Corporation. The No. 00 Precision Set has 3 broaches and 5 bushings that allow cutting of 15 keyway combinations in maintenance, repair or production of parts requiring such small keyways.
These Minute Man push-type broaches are available from stock and can be used with any type hydraulic or hand-operated arbor press with adequate throat opening. Requires no special skill and time to cut a keyway is less than one minute.
Other keyway broach sets, also available from stock, contain smaller or larger broaches and bushings and extend the range of keyway sizes that can be cut from 1/16" to 3/4" keyways in bores from 1/4" to 3" bore diameter, Individual keyway broaches and bushings are also available, as are broaches for cutting square holes.
