Proximity Sensor has 4 times standard sensing range.

September 27, 2002 - HyperPROX 4X long-range proximity sensor incorporates on-board temperature compensation ICs that eliminate impact of temperature on sensing distance. Sensor may be mounted farther away from target, minimizing risk of mechanical damage. Applications include controlling, regulating, automating, positioning, and monitoring work processes in machine-tool, plastics, textile, and automotive industries (or anywhere processes must be automated).

HyberPROX 4X - Don't Come Up Short

World's First Proximity Sensors with 4X Standard Sensing Range

FLORENCE, KY (June 7, 2002) -Distance counts, whether you're lining up to sink a two-foot birdie or trying to increase the safety margin for proximity sensors. Balluff has shot an ace with the introduction of the HyperPROX 4X line, taking long-range sensing to new levels with the world's first proximity sensors with 4X the normal sensing range.

The newest addition to the Balluff HyperPROX family of long range inductive sensors, HyperPROX 4X sensors incorporate patented cutting-edge technology to overcome the challenges of maintaining consistent sensing over varying temperatures. Balluff uses an on-board temperature compensation IC that eliminates the impact of temperature on sensing distance.

The extra range of the HyperPROX 4X allows the sensors to be mounted farther away from the target, increasing permissible machine tolerances and minimizing the risk of mechanical damage. In addition, the 4X sensing range allows machine manufacturers to use smaller sensors and save space on the machine, or to locate the sensors in previously inaccessible areas.

HyperPROX 4X sensors reduce maintenance downtime and minimize the need for costly replacements. The 4X joins the HyperPROX family, which includes the 2X line, which provides approximately double the standard sensing distance, and the 3X line, which approximately triples the sensing distance.

The family of Balluff HyperPROX inductive sensors are ideal for a wide range of applications, including controlling, regulating, automating, positioning and monitoring work processes in machine tool, plastics, textile and automotive industries - anywhere processes must be automated.

Balluff Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Balluff GmbH & Co., Neuhausen, Germany, is a leading manufacturer of a wide variety of inductive, optical, capacitive and magnetic sensors as well as linear position transducers and ID systems. Balluff products are used to control, regulate, automate, position and monitor manufacturing and packaging sequences for a number of industries, including metalworking, automotive, plastics, aerospace, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, electrical and electronics.
