Woods Introduces Unique Full Width Side Shift Capability On Alitec® High-Flow Cold Planers

ROCKFORD, Ill. (May 20, 2002) - Woods Equipment Company, the largest independent manufacturer of attachments and tools for the construction industry, introduces an industry-innovating feature that increases high-flow planer versatility and productivity - a full-width side shift. This patented design allows a planer to fully shift left and right - not just to the operator's right, as is standard in the industry. The hydraulic drive shaft smoothly moves the planer 66 inches from left to right, making it easy to maneuver around manholes, storm drains, and other obstacles. This new feature increases productivity because it allows the operator to make three complete passes - left, middle, and right - without repositioning the machine.

The full width side shift is available exclusively on most models of the Alitec CP Series high-flow cold planers.

Headquartered in Rockford, Ill., Woods Equipment Company is a leading, full-line manufacturer of attachments and implements for the construction, lawn and landscape, and agricultural markets. Woods also distributes a full line of replacement parts. Products are sold through a network of independent dealers throughout North America and are marketed under the brand names of Woods, Alitec, BMP, CF, Gannon, Wain Roy, Alloway, Gill, WoodsCare, and Tisco.
