Weatherproof Covers meet National Electrical Code requirements.

June 11, 2002 - Steel City? Outdoor while-in-use and Red-Dot Codekeeper? in-use covers meet 2002 NEC Code 406.8(B) for outdoor weatherproof applications. Steel City cover comes with clear Lexan? cover, allowing unobstructed view of device. Key-lock version is also available. Red-Dot Codekeeper cover is die-cast aluminum with integral locking tab. Both are UL-listed and CSA approved and are available in single and two gang covers.

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, May 10, 2002 - Thomas & Betts offers electricians multiple solutions in weatherproof "while-in-use" covers in order to comply with the new NEC Code 406.8(B) for outdoor weatherproof applications. The Steel City covers come with a highly impact resistant clear Lexan? cover, allowing an unobstructed view of the device. An optional, unique key-lock version is also available. The Red-Dot Codekeeper? covers are rugged die-cast aluminum with an integral locking tab. Thomas & Betts "while-in-use" covers have applications in the commercial, industrial and residential markets and are UL-listed and CSA approved.
