Windows and Lenses suit IR and broadband applications.


June 13, 2002 - IR and broadband windows and lenses can be fabricated from zinc selenide, zinc sulfide, germanium, silicon, calcium fluoride, and magnesium fluoride for transmission to 20 micrometers. Configurations include plano convex, plano concave, and meniscus with surface figures of 1/4 to 1/10 wave and 20-10 scratch-dig. Available with or without A/R coatings, they can be produced in 1/4 to 5 in. dia with ±.005 in. tolerances on dia and ±.002 in. on thickness.

Windows And Lenses For IR And Broadband Applications

IR and broadband windows and lenses, fabricated from a variety of materials to extend their wavelength further into the infrared, beyond sapphire, are available from Meller Optics, Inc. of Providence, Rhode Island.

Meller IR and Broadband Windows and Lenses can be fabricated to customer requirements from zinc selenide, zinc sulfide, germanium, silicon, calcium fluoride and magnesium fluoride for transmission out to 20 micrometers. Configurations offered include plano convex, plano concave, and meniscus with surface figures of 1/4 to 1/10 wave and 20-10 scratch-dig.

Available with or without A/R coatings, Meller IR and Broadband Windows and Lenses can be produced in 1/4" to 5" dia. sizes (ZnSe up to 8") with ±.005" tolerances on dia. and ±.002" on thickness. Applications include laser optics and infrared detector packaging.

Meller IR and Broadband Windows and Lenses are all custom fabricated and priced according to material, size, and other requirements. Literature is available upon request.
