Testing Material indicates mold face planarity.

Testing Material indicates mold face planarity.

Sensor Products Inc.    Madison, NJ 07940
Dec 07, 2010 By minimizing flash, shorts, and burns, Mold-Align® surface pressure indicating material reduces defects in injection molding process. When placed between mold halves that are compressed together, material instantaneously changes color revealing how pressure is being distributed between mold faces. Mold-Align leaves no residue and enables user to distinguish between high and low pressure areas along parting line.

Nov 23, 2010 Mold-Align®, when placed between mold halves during injection molding, changes color to reveal how pressure is being distributed between A and B halves of mold. It is placed between platens on parting line which are then subjected to pressure upon clamp closing, using minimal clamp tonnage. After product is removed, image is inspected for pressure distribution and void spots. Product may be archived and used as control for comparative purposes.

Oct 11, 2010 Tactilus® lets engineers test and correct surface contact and pressure distribution between heat sink and semiconductor. In addition to visualizing contact forces and pressure distribution data on circuit board components, functionality allows for mapping, measuring, and display of changing pressure distribution between mating surfaces as mounting screws between CPU and heat sink are torqued. Heat sink interface can be tested, manipulated, and repositioned in real-time.

Apr 16, 2009 Revealing pressure magnitude and distribution between any two contacting or mating surfaces, from 2-43,000 psi, Mylar-based Pressurex® Sensor Film helps verify adequate frame-to-module edge sealing. Placed at interface of 2 contacting surfaces, film permanently captures force applied during lamination press by changing color. Film offers solution for quality control checks during equipment setup, calibration, as well as re-qualification of solar module production line.
Sensor Film characterizes contact pressure down to 7.2 psi.

Sensor Products Inc.    Madison, NJ 07940
Nov 07, 2008 Featuring measuring range 7.2-28 psi, Pressurex Zero® tactile pressure-indicating sensor film can be placed between contacting/mating surfaces to instantly measure and map pressure magnitude and distribution. Variations in contact surface pressure are immediately visible by impression made on film. Available as thin clear plastic sheet, product conforms to curved spaces, and comes in 8 different pressure ranges with highest measuring impact up to 43,200 psi.
Roll Alignment Tool provides electronic nip analysis.

Sensor Products Inc.    Madison, NJ 07940
Aug 29, 2008 Designed for converting and printing, Mini Sigma-Nip® measures nip widths of rolls with circumferences smaller than 20 in. Sensors capture data and record nip width readings while being viewed on laptop containing Windows-based software. Adjustments to load are made in real-time while sensors are in closed, non-rotating nip. Useful for continuous maintenance as well as during equipment setup and shutdown, Mini Sigma-Nip exposes problems with alignment, skewing, and crown deficiencies.

Handheld Device takes nip width measurements.

Sensor Products Inc.    Madison, NJ 07940
Aug 01, 2007 P-Nip® provides operators of rollers, laminators, coaters, and printers, with rolls under 39 in. long, means to get instant spot readings of nip width. Accurate to ±2%, portable electronic device captures nip readings at multiple discrete locations across roller sets' face length. Solution consists of LCD display and replaceable sensor finger that extends from top. Designed for nips that are 1/16-˝ in., unit records reading within seconds and includes memory for reading storage.

Electronic Sensor helps avoid web breaks.

Sensor Products Inc.    Madison, NJ 07940
Jun 26, 2007 Suited for use on calendar rolls, Sigma-Nip® electronic sensor and software diagnostic maintenance tool for measuring nip width can tolerate 3,000 psi. Lightweight and portable unit can be carried and used throughout any plant to align roller sets. It connects through wireless connection or USB port to any Windows-based laptop/tablet. Microsoft Vista compliant software interface allows for comparative analysis and detailed adjustments while sensor is in closed (nonrotating) nip.
Sensor Film detects pressure from 2-43,200 psi.

Sensor Film detects pressure from 2-43,200 psi.

Sensor Products Inc.    Madison, NJ 07940
Jun 08, 2006 Consisting of thin, clear Mylar sheet, Pressurex® Film maps and measures pressure distribution and magnitude between mating, contacting, or impacting surfaces. When placed between impacting or mating surface, film instantaneously and permanently changes color, with color intensity directly proportional to pressure applied. Pressure magnitude can be determined by comparison of color variations to correlation chart.
Free Form Sensor Systems measure dynamic pressure.

Sensor Products Inc.    Madison, NJ 07940
Jun 08, 2006 Tactilus® dynamic electronic pressure mapping systems consist of up to 16 multi-channel tactile surface sensing points that can detect pressures up to 60 psi, coupled with electronics and USB interface. Running on laptop computer, software allows user to customize for 2-D and 3-D imaging, region-of-interest viewing, longitudinal and latitudinal analysis, graphical displays of data, pressure vs time, line scan, histogram and isobar charts, and statistical analysis of pressures.
