Design controls gas generation and induces recombination of over 99% of gases generated during float usage for safe operation, while safety release valve ensures excess gasses never accumulate within battery. They are designed for max charge output rates of under 320 A, requiring single battery connector similar to standard batteries. May 13, 2004 With 22.1 x 4.9 in. footprint, 12V155FS front terminal, valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery has cover made from UL94 V-0 flame retardant ABS material, which is resistant to shock and vibration. Acid spills are avoided through separators encased in low-resistance microporous glass fiber, which absorbs electrolyte in event of accidental damage to battery. With 155 Ah capacity, product employs positive and negative plates in lead-tin-calcium construction.

Apr 19, 2004 Series GU/GT offers cross-drilled post, which allows for installation of battery cells in any direction. Post design enables cell maintenance without taking entire battery system offline. Two connectors can be left in operation while other two connectors are being cleaned. Ranging from 930–3,900 Ah, batteries feature flat-plate construction with calcium or antimony alloy grids, flame-retardant PVC or SAN containers, and flame-retardant PVC covers.

Suited for UPS applications, 12 V valve-regulated, lead-acid batteries use polypropylene compound that allows high-temperature performance. High rate discharge units feature recessed brass terminals, long-life terminal seals, and corrosion-resistant, lead-calcium-tin alloy positive and negative grids. Units are available in flame retardant or non-flame retardant material.
