Single-Chip Touch Controller suits touchscreens up to 15.6 in.

Single-Chip Touch Controller suits touchscreens up to 15.6 in.

Atmel Corporation    San Jose, CA 95131
May 08, 2013 Optimized to support touchscreen cover glass as thin as 0.4 mm, maXTouch® mXT2952T delivers adaptive-sensing architecture featuring both mutual and self capacitance. Mutual capacitance enables true multitouch tracking while self capacitance offers idle power consumption, moisture immunity, glove tracking, and hover capability, which detects finger or object not in contact with screen. For noise immunity, Windows® 8 compatible controller features dual analog and digital filtering architecture.

Complete Development Tools Platform simplifies MCU design.

Atmel Corporation    San Jose, CA 95131
May 03, 2013 Xplained Pro evaluation kit provides designers with flexible, out-of-the-box board that includes Atmel® MCU, embedded debugger, and connectors for extension boards. When designers plug board into their system, users can pull-up Atmel Studio 6 and Atmel Software Framework with 2,000+ ready-to-run project examples. Atmel Gallery, fully integrated into Studio 6, lets embedded designers pull up development App Store to download third party extensions and plug-ins for their projects.

ULP Transceiver supports phase-difference technology.

Atmel Corporation    San Jose, CA 95131
Mar 06, 2013 As 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.15.4 radio transceiver, AT86RF233 supports distance measurement between 2 radios (ranging). Integrated technology, combining wireless sensor networks with real-time location (RTLS) capabilities, uses measurement of phase differences between radio signals and enables items to be tracked within wireless network for industrial and consumer applications.

Two-Channel LED Drivers are suited for use with high-CRI lamps.

Atmel Corporation    San Jose, CA 95131
Feb 19, 2013 Providing color control for 2-color LED light engines, MSL2021/23/24 two-channel SSL LED drivers can be accompanied with Atmel AVR® MCU or ARM® processor-based MCU. Each model drives one dominant LED string with linear controller and one color LED string with low-side buck controller to achieve target CCT coordinate and replicate color spectrum to attain high CRI value. LUT in EEPROM lets designers program profiles to follow desired CCT compensation curve. Dimming options are available.

Microprocessor Unit serves embedded industrial applications.

Atmel Corporation    San Jose, CA 95131
Feb 11, 2013 Supplied in 324-ball BGA package, SAMA5D3 series is based on ARM® Cortex™-A5 core and uses 65 nm low-power process technology to deliver up to 850 DMIPS at 536 MHz while offering 1,328 MBps at 166 MHz bus speed. FPU provides additional processing power for image, audio, and sensor data. Consuming under 200 mW in active mode at max speed and below 0.5 mW in low-power mode when retaining context and offering fast wake-up, MPU delivers diverse peripheral set and security capabilities.

Flash Microcontrollers are based on ARM® Cortex(TM)-M4 processor.

Atmel Corporation    San Jose, CA 95131
Jan 16, 2013 Offered with 512 KB and 1 MB embedded Flash memory options in BGA and QFP packages, SAM4E series features floating point unit (FPU), safety and security features, as well as such communication links as Ethernet IEEE1588 MAC, USB 2.0, and dual CAN. Processing power is optimized via max operating frequency of 120 MHz, FPU, and integrated cache providing zero wait state flash access at full speed. Other features incldue 2 independent 16-bit ADCs.

Touch Controller supports users wearing gloves.

Atmel Corporation    San Jose, CA 95131
Jan 09, 2013 Featuring 540 nodes, Atmel maXTouch mXT540S offers capacitive sensing for touchscreens up to 7 in. Unit supports ultra-thin passive stylus for up to 2 mm at 120 Hz report rate to enable accurate first touch. Controller includes noise cancellation algorithm as well as algorithms for gloved finger and fingernail touches. Supporting Android and Windows® 8 operating systems, mXT540S is suitable for smartphones, superphones, eReaders, and tablets.

Miniature LIN Chips suit automotive switch scan applications.

Atmel Corporation    San Jose, CA 95131
Nov 29, 2012 Available in 5 x 5 mm and 7 x 7 mm packages, Models ATA664151 and ATA664251 include 8-channel switch interface with current sources and analog voltage multiplexer to scan switches in automotive applications with currents up to 20 mA. Current sources are controlled by 3 independent PWM signals enabling device to act as ambient light circuit to control RGB LEDs. LIN 2.2 and SAEJ2602-2-compliant transceiver and low-drop 5 V voltage regulator with 80 mA current capability are also included.

Wireless MCU supports 2.4 GHz ISM band applications.

Atmel Corporation    San Jose, CA 95131
Nov 26, 2012 With RF link budget of 103.5 dB and memory options ranging from 64–256 K, ATmegaRFR2 AVR® Series delivers less than 6 mA in listen mode, less than 14.5 mA in transmit mode, and less than 1.5 µA in deep sleep mode. Single-chip devices also offer true 1.8 V operation at 16 MHz and temperature range up to 125°C for deployments in demanding environments such as wireless lighting control. AES 128-bit encryption engine is provided for high-speed communication.
