Abtex Corporation    Dresden, NY 14441-0188
Mar 18, 2014 Capable of being bulk fed or fed directly by upstream press, Tri-Ten System features 3 planetary head system that removes burrs on parts ranging from 3 mm to 0.40 mm thick. Three 254 mm flap discs on first head remove primary stamping burr, while six 254 mm, application-specific abrasive filament brushes on second and third heads eliminate secondary burrs and provide specified edge radius. To ensure part cleanliness and extend media life, coolant is liberally applied during deburring operation.

Mar 05, 2014 Capable of annual throughput of >15 million parts, Tri-Ten deburring system can be bulk fed by operator/robot or fed directly by upstream press. Vision System stops machine if parts are improperly loaded, and 3 planetary head system removes burrs on parts from 3–0.40 mm thick. While three 254 mm flap discs on first head removes primary stamping burr, six 254 mm application-specific abrasive filament brushes on subsequent 2 heads eliminate secondary burrs and provide specified edge radius.

Jun 05, 2013 Available in all Abtex brush configurations, application-specific diamond filament brushes feature diamond abrasive grains impregnated into nylon fiber. Hard and aggressive abrasive filaments, combined with construction method, help extend brush life. Abrasive filament brushing tools are mounted on molded, composite cores and backing materials. Uses include honing carbide cutting tools and finishing harder metals as well as deburring and finishing glass, ceramic, and aerospace alloys.

Feb 01, 2013 At one end of Tri-Ten U-Series system, parts are placed on magnetic conveyor that carries them through first offset planetary deburring head where three 10 in. fiber abrasive disc brushes deburr upward facing surface. Parts then pass through second planetary head before being captured by turn-over conveyor that flips parts. After both sides are deburred, they are demagnetized, and pass under rinse and air knife. System is also equipped with mist collection system and coolant filtration system.

Nov 27, 2012 Measuring 24 x 24 x 48 in., PEP system produces consistently uniform results. It completely removes burrs from aluminum extrusion profiles, regardless of work piece geometry, and lateral surface finish is not affected. Operator clamps sample part in place and manually feeds part across face of 8 in. abrasive filament brush. When part carrier makes contact with limit switch, included 2 hp, 1,750 rpm electric motor reverses direction for return feed against brush.

Mar 19, 2012 Customized for application-specific abrasive filament brushes, Tri-Ten Series accepts precision ground parts, in carriers, directly from grinding, lapping, or honing machine. As magnetized belt grips parts in carrier, they are presented to planetary head, where three 10 in. abrasive filament brushes deburr upward facing surface. Edge break, surface finish, and material removal are accurately controlled. Brushes may be specified with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, ceramic, or diamond filaments.

Oct 18, 2011 Accommodating needs of industries working with alloy steel parts, ceramic filament brushes are mounted in molded, composite material, feature hard, durable grain that produces sharp cutting edges as it wears. Available in every brush configuration, abrasive tools are designed to be application specific.

Mar 04, 2009 Suited for applications requiring small footprint and portability, Tri-Ten series planetary head deburring system is designed to deburr both sides of part in single pass. Magnetic conveyor passes parts loaded at one end of system through offset planetary deburring head, where three fiber abrasive brushes deburr upward facing surface, after which part is carried to flipping mechanism and transported back through planetary head for deburring.

Nov 12, 2007 Wet Tri-Ten Series Series motors and electrical components are outside of process cabinet, isolating them from wet environment. System includes planetary head with 3 brushes, bathed in spray of coolant, that deburr top surface of parts. Also included is magnetized overhead conveyor, second planetary head with brushes bathed in coolant to deburr bottom of parts, and demagnetizer.

Jan 05, 2007 Employing three 10 in. brushes per head, Tri-Ten Series is capable of deburring both sides of flat part in one pass, without flipping it, via use of dual magnetic conveyors. Third conveyor passes parts into degausser for demagnetization. Base system design can be expanded to include application-specific auxiliary equipment. For non-ferrous parts, systems can be designed using alternate part fixturing methods.
