Optical Fiber minimizes stress in fiber core.

Optical Fiber minimizes stress in fiber core.

Fiberguide Industries, Inc.    Stirling, NJ 07980
Jan 24, 2013 Designed for integration into fiber-based systems performing high power transmission, UniClad Optical Fiber uses large core-to-clad ratio to minimize stress transfer to core, optimizing focal ratio degradation in lasers used for cutting, welding, drilling, soldering, and marking. Fiber features pure fused silica core and doped fused silica cladding with polymer coating. It has fixed 500 µm cladding diameter for 100-400 µm core sizes, and proportionately larger cladding for 600-800 µm sizes.

Laser Connectors offer power handling capabilities to 750 W.

Fiberguide Industries, Inc.    Stirling, NJ 07980
Aug 31, 2012 Constructed from all-silica optical fibers with core sizes from 100-1,500 µm, FD-80 high power keyed connector assemblies are designed for power requirements of industrial laser systems used for cutting, drilling, marking, and welding. Epoxy-free cantilevered nose design isolates fibers from connector, allowing safe dissipation of thermal energy without burning surrounding material. Laser polished fiber face promotes power transmission while reducing risk of damage to end face.

Fiberguide Industries, Inc.    Stirling, NJ 07980
Aug 24, 2012 Constructed from all silica optical fibers with core sizes from 100-1,500 µm, Series FD-80 meets demanding power requirements of industrial laser systems used for cutting, drilling, marking, and welding. Epoxy-free cantilevered nose design isolates fibers from connector, allowing safe dissipation of thermal energy without burning surrounding material. To promote power transmission and minimize risk of damage to end face, connectors have laser polished fiber face.

Mode Stripping SMA Cables suit high power laser systems.

Fiberguide Industries, Inc.    Stirling, NJ 07980
Oct 07, 2011 Along with passive, air-cooled design, mode stripping SMA cable assemblies have integrated mode stripper that dissipates up to 25 W of power from cladding. This ensures clean output and enables power handling to 100, 250, and 350 W for 100, 200, and 400 µm cores, respectively. Epoxy-free, cantilevered nose design isolates optical fiber from ferrule, preventing thermal and contamination issues. Cables contain all-silica fiber, and fiber tips are laser polished for optimal transmission.

Single Fiber Assemblies survive damaging environments.

Fiberguide Industries, Inc.    Stirling, NJ 07980
Sep 16, 2010 Single fiber assemblies with core sizes from 50-1,000 microns offer choice of chemical-resistant, non-magnetic sheathing options. For general-purpose use, non-conductive furcation tubing protects fibers with liquid-tight seal and consists of Kevlar reinforced PVC sleeve over polypropylene tube. To accommodate more specialized applications, stainless steel monocoil sheathing is vacuum-compatible as well as resistant to tight bending, crushing, cutting, kinking, and elevated temperatures.
Capillary Tubing withstands temperatures up to 360°C.

Capillary Tubing withstands temperatures up to 360°C.

Fiberguide Industries, Inc.    Stirling, NJ 07980
Aug 25, 2010 Manufactured from high-purity synthetic quartz with polyimide protective coating, Fused Silica Capillary Tubing is available in standard inner diameters ranging from 2-700 µm with outer diameters from 90-850 µm. Tubing is suitable for scientific applications such as protein characterization, small molecule and genetic analysis, proteomics, DNA sequencing, and fragment analysis.
Solarization Resistant Fibers suit deep UV applications.

Solarization Resistant Fibers suit deep UV applications.

Fiberguide Industries, Inc.    Stirling, NJ 07980
Jul 24, 2009 Using modified core preform that protects fiber from damaging effects of deep UV, Solarization Resistant Fibers can handle spectroscopy, lithography, and excimer laser delivery applications where fibers are exposed to deuterium lamp transmission (190-230 Nm) or ArF-Excimer (193 Nm) laser. They provide long-term stability at 30-40% transmission for 215 Nm. Fiber core sizes can be produced from 50 to greater than 1,000 µm. Custom cabled or multi-fiber assemblies are also available.

Modules collimate light source into defined-degree beam.

Fiberguide Industries, Inc.    Stirling, NJ 07980
Feb 16, 2009 Designed to collimate or focus light exiting optical fiber to desired beam diameter, collimators can be used with laser diodes, photodiodes, acoustic-optic modulators, and other fiber optic devices. They come in 3 sizes: macro collimator for optical fiber core sizes over 800 µm dia, mid-size collimator for sizes up to 800 µm dia, and micro collimator for fibers up to 400 µm dia. Also available, focus guides thread into macro and mid-size collimators to refocus beam at given distance.

Hard Clad Fibers handle wide range of applications.

Fiberguide Industries, Inc.    Stirling, NJ 07980
Sep 17, 2008 Hard Plastic Clad standard Silica core fibers come with Numerical Aperture (N.A.) of 0.39, while Hard Plastic Coated Low Hydroxyl (OH) Silica core fibers feature N.A. of 0.22 and attenuation of 3.5 dB/km at 800 nm and 8.6 dB/km at 1,060 nm, respectively. They feature high concentricity and core-to-clad ratio, hard polymer coating, and biocompatible materials. Applications include laser delivery systems, NIR spectroscopy, optical pyrometry, and automotive cabling.
