Analog Output Reference Design minimizes component count.

Maxim Integrated Products    Sunnyvale, CA 94086
May 20, 2014 Alameda (MAXREFDES24#) subsystem reference design enables designers to add flexible 4-channel bipolar analog output to their industrial automation designs. Combining 4 high-accuracy (<±0.1%) outputs with power supply controller on one board, subsystem offers flexibility via outputs configurable to ±10 V, ±20 mA, 0–10 V, or 4–20 mA for current and voltage applications. Automatic error reporting for detecting open and short circuits, brown-outs, and overtemperature conditions is standard.

Smart Temperature Transmitter features HART protocol.

Maxim Integrated Products    Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Mar 04, 2014 Using HART communication protocol, Novato Reference Design transmits temperature measurements from remote sensors to central control unit over 4–20 mA current loop. Unit consumes less than 3.2 mA while providing measurements from -200 to +850°C with better than ±0.1% accuracy. Supporting 2-, 3-, or 4-wire RTD sensor inputs, transmitter works with any type of RTDs, from PT100 to PT1000, making it suitable for variety of industrial applications.

Octal Ultrasound Transceiver features low-noise design.

Maxim Integrated Products    Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Oct 04, 2013 Housed in 10 x 26 mm BGA package, Model MAX2082 replaces thousands of discrete components in any ultrasound system. Device integrates 8 channels of 3-level 200 V pulsers and T/R switches, octal ADC, octal LNA, octal VGA, CW mixers, anti-aliasing filters, and coupling capacitors into single package. Operating from 0–70°C, IC provides ultra-low noise figure of 2.8 dB at RIN = RS= 200 Ω and high dynamic receiver with 76 dBFS SNR at fIN = 5 MHz and 2 MHz bandwidth.

Reference Design simplifies isolated digital inputs to PLC.

Maxim Integrated Products    Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Aug 30, 2013 Intended for industrial PLC digital-input subsystems, Corona Reference Design integrates MAX31911 octal digital input translator/serializer, MAX14850 6-channel digital isolator, and MAX13256 H-bridge transformer, reducing isolated channels and eliminating need for power-hungry optocouplers and discrete parts. Devices used in Corona are designed specifically for harsh industrial environments with operating temperature ranges from -40 to +125°C.

Thermocouple-to-Digital Converters achieve ±2.0°C accuracy.

Maxim Integrated Products    Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Jul 17, 2013 Available in 3 x 4 x 0.75 mm TDFN package, MAX31850/MAX31851 integrate discrete ADC, accurate reference, temperature sensor for cold-junction compensation, and 1-Wire® interface that allows multiple sensor locations to communicate and draw power over single data line. MAX31850 supports K, J, N, T, and E thermocouple types, while MAX31851 is available for R and S thermocouples. Devices identify open or shorted thermocouples that could result in erroneous temperature readings or system faults.

Cryptographic Authenticator suits medical and industrial applications.

Maxim Integrated Products    Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Jun 21, 2013 Model DS28E35 DeepCover® Secure Authenticator integrates FIPS 186-based, Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm engine to implement public-key cryptography to operate challenge-and-response protocol between host controller and attached devices. Specified over -40 to +85°C temperature range, it includes nonvolatile memory, random number generator, and decrement-only usage counter. Operating over single pin on 1-Wire® interface, product comes in 6-pin TSOC or 8-pin TDFN-EP package.

Compact SAR ADC provides 18-bit resolution with no missing codes.

Maxim Integrated Products    Sunnyvale, CA 94086
May 22, 2013 Supplied in 3 x 3 mm, 12-pin TDFN package, MAX11156 bipolar successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) integrates reference buffer and internal reference and supports 500 ksps sampling rate. Beyond-the-Rails™ technology supports +5 V input from single positive 5 V input rail, eliminating need for negative power supplies. ADC provides DC accuracy with 0.5 LSB DNL and 2.5 LSB INL typ as well as optimal AC performance with 94.6 dB SNR and -105 dB THD typ.

Voltage Measurement Circuits feature simultaneous sampling.

Maxim Integrated Products    Sunnyvale, CA 94086
May 06, 2013 Model MAX14920, 12-channel analog front-end ICs are available in 64-pin, 10 mm˛ TQFP package and MAX14921, 16-channel units come in 80-pin, 12 mm˛ TQFP. Both operate over -40 to +85°C temperature range. Maximizing accuracy of cell voltage readings through common-mode level shifting and high-precision amplifier, ICs provide cell voltage measurements of up to ±0.5 mV and manage up to 16 battery cell packs. Units help lengthen life of rechargeable Li-Ion battery packs in UPS systems and more.

DAB Receiver enables SDR via RF to Bits® architecture.

Maxim Integrated Products    Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Apr 22, 2013 Supplied in 40-pin, 6 x 6 mm TQFN package, MAX2173 integrates radio tuner, ADC, and digital filtering. This RF to Bits tuner, specified over -40 to +85°C range for digital audio broadcast (DAB) applications in automobiles and other mobile DAB/FM products, uses digital I˛S output to interface directly to DSPs. Performance and flexible RF front-end supports DAB, FM, and Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcast (T-DMB) applications in FM, VHF band-III, and L-band frequency bands.
