PWM Synchronous Buck Control IC offers up to 95% efficiency.

Micrel Semiconductor Inc.    San Jose, CA 95131
Jul 30, 2010 Supplied in MSOP-10 ePad package, 500 kHz MIC2169B allows compact DC/DC solutions with minimal external component count. It operates from 3-14.5 V input without any additional bias voltage and can drive loads up to 30 A. Output voltage can be regulated down to 0.8 V, and adaptive all-N Channel MOSFET drive scheme results in optimal efficiency. Also, current limit accuracy is maintained by positive temperature coefficient that tracks increasing RDS(ON) of external MOSFET

Synchronous DC-DC Controller features single supply operation.

Jul 30, 2010 Model MIC2165 features architecture that makes high delta-V operation with VIN of 28 V and VOUT of 0.8 V possible. Unit employs Hyper Light Load(TM) feature to achieve high efficiencies at light loads. Operating over input supply range of 4.5-28 V, it can provide up to 25 A of output current, achieves up to 95% efficiency, and has short current sensing on bottom MOSFET. Unit also features internal linear regulator that provides regulated 5 V to power internal control circuitry.

Synchronous DC-DC Controller drives up to 25 A of load current.

Jul 29, 2010 With 600 kHz switching frequency, Hyper Speed Control(TM) MIC2166 operates over supply range of 4.5-28 V and achieves up to 95% efficiency. Internal VDD regulator enables single-supply operation, while digital soft start minimizes inrush current. UVLO feature ensures proper operation under power-sag conditions, which prevents external power MOSFET from overheating. Available in 10-pin ePad MSOP with junction operating range from -40 to +125°C, IC is suited for set-top boxes, gateways, and routers.

PWM Synchronous Buck Control ICs offer single-output design.

Micrel Semiconductor Inc.    San Jose, CA 95131
Jul 29, 2010 Model MIC2155 and MIC2156 single output, synchronous buck control ICs implement 500 kHz and 300 kHz voltage mode PWM control, respectively, with outputs switching 180° out-of-phase that results in 1 MHz or 600 kHz input ripple, with ripple current cancellation. Two independent enable pins and power good output are included. Operating over temperatures from -40 to +125°C, ICs have 4.5-14.5 V input voltage range and adjustable output voltages down to 0.7 V.

Synchronous Buck Controllers feature adaptive on-time control.

Micrel Semiconductor Inc.    San Jose, CA 95131
Jul 29, 2010 Operating over input supply range of 3-28 V, Hyper Speed Control(TM) MIC2164/-2/-3/C supply 25 A output current and offer switching frequency of 300 kHz, 600 kHz, and 1 MHz, respectively. UVLO feature ensures proper operation under power-sag conditions to prevent external power MOSFET from overheating, while 6 ms internal soft start minimizes inrush current. Housed in 10-pin MSOP, controllers operate from -40 to +125°C with 95% efficiency.

Power Management IC targets 4G wireless applications.

Micrel Semiconductor Inc.    San Jose, CA 95131
Jul 20, 2010 Housed in 5.5 x 5.5 mm package with operating temperature of -40 to +125°C, Model MIC2829 incorporates 6 DC/DC buck converters, 11 LDOs, and digital level shifters for SIM Card support. Five LDOs provide output accuracy of ±3% and require only 40 µA of ground current to operate. Four of 6 converters incorporate HyperLight Load(TM) technology, which enables 87% efficiency at 1 mA. Supporting 100% duty cycle operation, remaining 2 DC/DC buck converters deliver greater than 96% efficiency.

LDO Regulators feature low input voltage.

Micrel Semiconductor Inc.    San Jose, CA 95131
Aug 12, 2008 Suited for demanding applications that need to be powered up at all times, MIC531x Series integrates 2 LDOs capable of operating from input voltage as low as 1.7 V, while supplying up to 300 mA of output current and consuming 37 µA total quiescent current. Units offer high PSRR, POR, and voltage scaling as well as current limit and thermal shutdown protection. Operating from -40 to 125°C, MIC5313/15 come in 2 x 2 mm, 10-lead package while MIC5314/16 are offered in 2.5 x 2.5 mm, 12-lead package.

CML Output ICs operate up to 3.2 GHz.

Micrel Semiconductor Inc.    San Jose, CA 95131
Aug 01, 2008 Series SY54xxx includes 7 low voltage CML output products with core power supply of 2.5 V that can interface directly to devices powered by 1.2/1.8 V supply. Products include 1:2 fanout buffer, differential line driver/receiver, 2:1 multiplexer, and 2 x 2 crosspoint switch. AC performance is guaranteed from dc through 2.5-3.2 GHz or 3.2 Gbps, with rise and fall times of less than 95 ps. Jitter performance is less than 10 ps p-p over temperature and voltage.

LDOs operate from input voltage as low as 1.65 V.

Micrel Semiconductor Inc.    San Jose, CA 95131
Jun 30, 2008 Including Models MIC69301/2, MIC69151/3, and MIC69101/3 with current ratings of 3, 1.5, and 1 A, respectively, MIC6910x/15x/30x low voltage linear regulators feature single supply operation from 5.5 V down to 1.65 V with ±1% initial output accuracy. ICs have thermal shutdown, current limit, and power handling capabilities.
