Constant Force Springs include brush wear indicator.

Helwig Carbon Products, Inc.    Milwaukee, WI 53224 9008
Mar 31, 2014 Available as option on all constant force spring assemblies, brush wear indicator allows users to see at-a-glance whether carbon brushes need replacing. This helps prevent exposed shunts or inadequate spring force from causing damage to commutators or rings. By ensuring optimal spring force, constant force springs with wear device minimize electrical wear and maximize brush life.

Jul 22, 2011 Available with optional wear indicator devices, Brush Holders for industrial motors come in 3 sizes of .750 x 1.5, .875 x 1.5, and 1.00 x 1.5 in. With no screws to remove or replace, quick-disconnect terminals and mounts facilitate changing of brushes. Terminals and mounts handle 200 A continuously and snap together in tight positive locking action. Electrical connection remains secure in rough conditions, and styles and sizes can be threaded to fit most existing equipment.

Vane Material is designed for dry-running applications.

Helwig Carbon Products, Inc.    Milwaukee, WI 53224 9008
May 01, 2009 Available for manufacturing of graphite vanes for OEM and aftermarket dry running vane pumps, self-lubricating and dimensionally stable grade MH1 can be molded to near net shape and machined to tolerances of 0.0005 in. Impact-resistant, resin bonded graphite design contributes to extended vane life in non-lubricated vacuum pumps and compressors. It will not damage bore of housing, exhibits low wear rate, and is specifically designed for use in dry-running applications.

Aug 02, 2006 Battery-operated Digiscale helps detect improper spring force before excessive brush or commutator wear causes downtime. It comes with strap and roller, either of which can be attached to spring assembly. Once attached, scale is pulled taut by comfort-grip handle, and measured force is immediately displayed in in. LCD numerals. Automatically zeroing scale reads force measurements of spiral torsion springs and constant force springs up to 10 lb.

Dec 05, 2005 Embedded in carbon brush, Helwig Commutator Protector (HCP(TM)) Sensor alerts personnel to replace worn brush upon reaching predetermined wear level. Sensor wire reduces risk of serious damage to motors by helping avoid risk of electrical wear to contact surface. Suited for difficult-to-access equipment or equipment in remote locations, sensor does not interrupt regular operation and ensures that worn brushes do not damage commutator.

Carbon Brushes fit most forklift motors.

Helwig Carbon Products, Inc.    Milwaukee, WI 53224 9008
Aug 15, 2002 New line of carbon brushes for forklift motors combines quality, economy, and availability for original equipment manufacturers and motor shops. Brushes are made from high-quality materials and perform as good or better than existing technology. When correct brush is matched to existing application, brush and commutator life is extended.
