Intelligent Fire Systems combine flexibility, scalability.

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.    Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Mar 02, 2012 Cerberus(TM) PRO and Desigo(TM) fire system panels and smoke detectors feature components that may be adapted to meet new conditions. Integrated in both systems, ASAtechnology(TM) is immune to deceptive phenomena and fosters early fire detection. Control panels are networkable, and up to 16 panels can be connected using peer-to-peer networking. Other features include integrated degrade mode, application-specific detection profiles, dual optical sensors, and independent CO detection.

Building Controls deliver flexibility for integrators.

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.    Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Sep 10, 2008 Featuring open architecture based on BACnet or LonTalk protocols, TALONŽ building automation controls offer integration capabilities and set of tools to aid in design, installation, and commissioning tasks. Products help meet demands for reliable access to flexible control technologies and relevant technical information. Integration drivers enable precise HVAC system management; tightly integrated control of security, fire, and lighting systems; and building management capabilities.

Damper Actuator returns to fail-safe position on power loss.

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.    Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Jan 23, 2008 OpenAir(TM) GQD Series is designed as a direct-coupled, spring-return electronic actuator for modulating, 2-position, or floating control of building HVAC dampers. Units feature fail-safe, bi-directional spring return, are pre-cabled, plenum-rated, and offer run time less than 30 sec. Measuring 4.7 x 2.7 x 2.5 in., they function with running/spring return 20 lb-in. torque, are UL/cUL Listed, CE Certified, and offer low power consumption, 4 VA typical.

Damper Actuators feature external dual auxiliary switch kit.

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.    Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Jul 06, 2005 Compatible with OpenAir GCA, GMA, GIB, GBB, and GEB actuators, switch kit is rated to 250 Vac and includes ˝ in. NPT conduit connection. When external switch kit is installed to actuator/shaft adapter, all actuator functionality, like manual override, is maintained. Kit offers 2 switches, independently adjustable in 5° increments from 0-90°, and may be wired for NO or NC operation.

Jun 27, 2005 Electro-hydraulic Series SKP performs safety shutoff and gas pressure regulation, eliminating need for separately piped pressure regulator. Units can also act as 1:1 air/gas proportioner or zero governor. Featuring NEMA 4 design, actuators include visual position indicators and wiring terminations on front. To facilitate installation, mounting screws are pre-attached to actuator and conduit adapters are not required.

VAV Controller helps maintain tight flow accuracies.

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.    Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Apr 29, 2005 TALON Predator Single Duct/Dual Duct Low Flow Controller is suited for flow ranges between 150-1,200 fpm, with tightest accuracy below 400 fpm. It provides quiet operation to eliminate occupant white noise. Variable air volume controller is suited for critical environments in hospitals, laboratories, industrial buildings, and medical offices where highly accurate building control is required.

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.    Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Oct 18, 2004 Suitable for residential or light commercial buildings, stand-alone model RDX42.22U offers LCD display of temperature or setpoint in °F or °C. Fan switch permits continuous fan on or automatic fan operation, while system switch allows manual selection of heating, cooling, or off position. Unit can be used in applications requiring 24 Vac 2 stage heat/1 stage cool, 4 pipe fan coil, unitary air handling units and heat pump or compressor based equipment.

Variable Frequency Drives offer NEMA 3R mounting option.

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.    Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Sep 10, 2004 NEMA 3R enclosure on Series SED2 allows outdoor mounting of drives near controlled mechanical equipment and permits short motor lead lengths. Package is equipped with main input fused disconnect and optional 2- or 3- contactor bypass and line reactor. Shield protects unit from heating effects of indirect sunlight. Filtered inlet, fan-controlled exhaust, and thermostatically controlled heater ensure that required ambient conditions are maintained.
Humidity Duct Sensors help keep buildings comfortable.

Humidity Duct Sensors help keep buildings comfortable.

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.    Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Aug 26, 2004 Suited for HVAC building control applications, Q-Series uses embedded microprocessor that converts digital signal to continuous 0-10 Vdc signal, which corresponds to 0-100% RH. Standard humidity range is 3% accuracy over comfort range of 30-70% RH and 5% accuracy over full range of 0-100% non-condensing. Digital sensing technology requires no calibration or adjustment. Replaceable sensing tips can be removed without disrupting installation or wiring.
