Surge Protection Modules suit LED lighting applications.

Surge Protection Modules suit LED lighting applications.

Littelfuse, Inc.    Des Plaines, IL 60016
Apr 17, 2014 Constructed with thermally protected varistors, Models LSP05 and LSP10 protect outdoor LED fixtures with max lightning surge current ratings of 10,000 A and 20,000 A, respectively. LSP05 Module is configured with parallel connections, while LSP10 Module is available with either parallel or series connections. Built-in thermal disconnect function provides additional protection from catastrophic failures and fire hazards. Both provide real-time indication when SPD module needs to be replaced.

AEC-Q200 Compliant Varistor protects automotive electronics.

Littelfuse, Inc.    Des Plaines, IL 60016
Mar 28, 2014 With max peak surge current rated up to 5 kA (8/20 µsec pulse), radial-leaded varistors of AUMOV™ Series protect sensitive vehicle systems from voltage transients induced by load dump, jump starts, and other events. Phenolic coating option accommodates demands of harsh, under-hood environments with operating temperatures up to 125°C. Available in 5, 7, 10, 14, and 20 mm disc sizes, varistors have 16–50 Vdc range and also serve vehicle passenger compartment applications.

Feb 24, 2014 Housed in low-profile DO-214AA SMB package, TPSMB Series provides secondary protection of sensitive automotive and other electronics from transients induced by load dump and other transient voltage events. Units are available in standoff voltage ratings from 10–77 V for both uni-directional and bi-directional devices. Featuring 600 W peak pulse power dissipation rating, diodes are AEC-Q101 qualified and comply with IEC 61000-4-2 and IEC 610000-4-4 standards.
Intrinsically Safe Fuse is certified to UL913 standard.

Littelfuse, Inc.    Des Plaines, IL 60016
Jan 24, 2014 Featuring encapsulated design, 277 V PICO® 305 Series prevents heat and sparks from being exposed to hazardous dusts and gases. Fuse provides interrupting capacity of 1,500 A and current ratings from 50–750 mA. Meeting ATEX and IECEx requirements, fuse is suited for testing, measuring, or processing electronic and electrical equipment, motor controllers, lighting, communication handsets, flow meters, process control and automation, sensors, and other intrinsically safe apparatus.
TVS Diode Arrays offer high ESD withstand capability.

Jan 20, 2014 Available in 5 voltage options of 5, 12, 15, 24, and 36 V, SM Series protects sensitive equipment from damage due to electrostatic discharge, electrical fast transients, and lightning-induced surges. Units can absorb repetitive ESD strikes above maximum level specified in international standards without degradation and safely dissipate up to 24 A of induced surge current. Providing very low dynamic resistance, units minimize clamping voltages, ensuring ICs survive electrical threats.

Open LED Protector prevents damage from reverse polarity voltages.

Littelfuse, Inc.    Des Plaines, IL 60016
Jan 14, 2014 Available in QFN 3 x 3 and DO‑214AA packages designed to maximize heat dissipation and layout flexibility, PLEDxUx Unidirectional Series Open LED Protector provides switching electronic shunt path when one LED in string fails as open circuit. PLED devices, connected in parallel with each LED in series string, enables remainder of string to continue to function if one LED fails. Compatible with 1 W LEDs, nominally 350 mA @ 3 V, product also provides reverse battery/power polarity protection.

TVS Diode Arrays offer layout flexibility via packaging options.

Littelfuse, Inc.    Des Plaines, IL 60016
Nov 18, 2013 Respectively offered in uDFN-6 and SOT23-6 packages, SP3012-03UTG and SP3012-04HTG protect sensitive chipsets with high-speed data lines from external ESD events (±12 kV min contact, ±25 kV min air). Form factor simplifies PCB layout by allowing traces to run directly underneath device and conserve board space. While clamping voltage promotes reliable equipment performance in field, capacitance of 0.5 pF minimizes signal degradation and distortion. Dynamic resistance is 0.4 Ω.

Gas Discharge Tubes come in square EIA 1206 package.

Littelfuse, Inc.    Des Plaines, IL 60016
Nov 06, 2013 Housed in 3.2 x 1.6 x 1.6 mm surface-mount package, SE Series features ultra-low capacitance of less than 0.5 pF, helping to ensure high transmission speeds in broadband applications. Units respond rapidly to fast-rising transients and offer optimal stability in multiple pulse duty cycles, boosting reliability. Under normal operating conditions, GDTs maintain high resistance state, but when voltage surge occurs, devices will discharge from open to short status to provide overvoltage protection.

Low-Capacitance TVS Diode Arrays protect telecom interfaces.

Littelfuse, Inc.    Des Plaines, IL 60016
Sep 18, 2013 Offered in SOD323 packaging, SP4020 and SP4021 Series discrete low capacitance TVS Diode Arrays (SPA® Diodes) safeguard telecom interfaces from lightning-induced surges and ESD damage. Arrays integrate low capacitance steering diodes with either one or two TVS diodes to provide unidirectional or bidirectional protection from electrical threats for 3.3 V (SP4020) and 5 V (SP4021) applications. Loading capacitance helps preserve signal integrity and minimize data loss.
Surge-Tolerant Fuses suit lightning exposure applications.

Littelfuse, Inc.    Des Plaines, IL 60016
Aug 27, 2013 Able to withstand up to 20 lightning-induced high current surges without performance degradation, 328 and 688 Series provide short-circuit and overload protection to ensure long-term reliability for outdoor applications. These compact fuses also reduce level of nuisance fuse tripping from indirect lightning surges. Series 688 slow blow ceramic fuse offers breaking capacity of 2,500 A @ 70 Vdc, and Series 328 is optimized for outdoor LED lighting applications to protect SPDs and luminaries.
