Differential Line Drivers provide high output drive current.

LSI Computer Systems, Inc.    Melville, NY 11747
May 09, 2011 Operating up to 4 MHz with input voltage range of 4.5-30 V, quad-channel Models LS7272 and LS7273 provide 120 mA sink output current drive and 1.5 A dynamic peak output current drive. Model LS7272 has input to select either push-pull or open drain outputs with loads on open drain outputs returnable to power supply voltage or lower, while Model LS7273 has only open drain outputs with loads returnable to voltage independent of power supply voltage up to maximum of 30 V.

Light Dimmers provide control via manual or uC interface.

LSI Computer Systems, Inc.    Melville, NY 11747
Jul 14, 2010 With supply voltage of 5 V, Model LS7642 powers up in Off state, while Model LS7642FO powers up in On state to illumination set by control voltage. Analog voltage at control input directly determines phase angle of triac trigger pulse. For automated applications, control voltage can be provided by uC, yielding accurate control of dimming patterns. For manual applications such as wall switches, wiper of sliding or rotary potentiometer can provide control voltage.

Oct 14, 2009 Models LS7082N1/LS7083N/LS7084N/LS7183N/LS7184N interface between incremental encoders and counting devices by converting encoder quadrature outputs into directional up/down clocks or clock and direction signals for driving counting devices. When interfaced with MCUs, devices can free up resources by relieving computational burden used for decoding quadrature signals. ICs offer x1, x2, or x4 frequency multiplication of quadrature clock as well as programmable output clock pulse width.

Aug 28, 2009 Supplied in 8-pin DIP and SOIC packages, LS7636/LS7636FO/LS7637/LS7637FO are lighting control ICs turn on drive transistors at zero-crossover point of each half cycle to enable slow current rise. Current is terminated later during half-cycle, depending on desired dimming level, and RFI generation is minimized since power to load is not turned on abruptly. Able to drive any Electronic Transformer, ICs offer 3 selectable operating modes and support local or remote pushbutton control.
Quadrature Counter IC offers multi-mode programmability.

LSI Computer Systems, Inc.    Melville, NY 11747
Jul 27, 2009 Operating over voltage range of 3-5.5 V, 32-bit Model LS7366R with SPI decodes and counts quadrature clocks directly from incremental encoders, offering solution to position and displacement tracking at 40 x 106/sec line rate from encoder and count limit of 232. Unit can also operate with non-quadrature clock signals and provides various counting modes for signal conditioning. Programming and communications between IC and host controller are made with 4 instructions.

Jun 25, 2009 Designed to drive latching relay, LS6506R can be used in Wall Switch configuration (no Neutral) to enable full AC Mains cycle to be applied across any load. Also available, LS6507R drives triac in series with load and is suitable for use in lower-cost Wall Switch configuration for driving incandescent lamp loads. ICs can be used to manually or automatically switch loads on/off, and feature is offered where lights can be manually switched off and remain so while motion is detected.

Jun 11, 2009 Models LS8297, LS8297CT, and LS8397 Stepper Motor Controller ICs offer half-step and full-step sequences in both normal drive and wave drive modes. LS8297CT and LS8397 models offer correction for torque-ripple, while LS8397 is also available with power saving holding-torque mode for maintaining drivers at reduced power level when motor is not turning. Four phase outputs and 2 inhibit outputs are provided for driving external H-bridge drivers, allowing for selection of standard driver.

Jun 04, 2009 Available in single- or dual-axis versions, Series LS7766 has max count frequency of 40 MHz and count range of 32 bits to support applications where large magnitudes of data are involved. Configurable octal/hex parallel IO bus optimizes system throughput, while multiple counting modes relieve host microcontroller of control and data formatting tasks. Quadrature signals from encoder are validated with internal digital filters to eliminate errors from induced noise and encoder dither.

LSI Computer Systems, Inc.    Melville, NY 11747
Dec 10, 2007 Offered in various packages, LS7290 is programmable for 6 step sizes from full to 1/32 step and offers max stepping rate over 30k/sec. IC works with 2-phase bipolar stepper motors, interfacing with external dual full bridge driver and 4-phase unipolar stepper motors, where PWM and phase control outputs interface with 4 AND gates driving 4 NMOS driver transistors. Inputs are available to control step size, step command, motor direction, and inter-step phase drive blanking delays.
