Sep 27, 2012 Opening at < 50 psi and gripping part at constant 35 psi, Model 1070-250W features 2 jaws of hardened and ground 1018 steel with Rockwell C hardness of 58–63. Chuck has ¼ in. opening on diameter (1/8 in. opening per jaw) and is modified for spring clamp and air open, using nitrogen compressed gas springs in spring clamp mechanism. If air pressure to machine is lost, parts will not fly out and damage operator or machine. Parts are gripped on 4 points with carbide-coated grippers.

Aug 21, 2012 Model NF-800 includes set of hardened and ground subjaws and 2 sets of inserts. Subjaws are designed to accept inserts, making chuck capable of holding multiple parts and enabling quick change-over from one part to next. All components are hardened and ground to 58/63 R.C. and all diameters are ground within 1/10,000 T.I.R. Utilizing standard 5C collets as well as 5C expanding collets, chucks run at speeds in excess of 8,000 rpm.

Sub-jaws have 2 bullet nosed pins that will grip blanks between 2 holes, and ¾ in. wide jaws fit between 2 hardened and ground full circle segments mounted to chuck face to support workpiece during machining. Accuracies range from 0.001-0.00001 in.
