Jan 18, 2006 Designed for field-termination of pressure transducers, Model 299 Dri-Sense reduces failure caused by humidity migrating down cable and causing short circuit. Desiccant material contained within cover captures and condenses moisture, turning from blue to pink to indicate desiccant status. Desiccant can be regenerated by baking at 200°F until returned to blue (3-4 hr). Enclosure, constructed of plastic glass-filled polycarbonate, also protects against surges to 2,000 V.
