Mar 25, 2013 Based on accurate simulation of curing reaction, SIGMASOFT® 3D Injection Molding Simulation Software can be used for designing mold, identifying process windows, and troubleshooting during production. Developments in thermal solver allow for integration of all mold components and their individual temperature dependent material properties. In this way, accurate reproduction of real temperature profile in mold is possible, even over several consecutive injection molding cycles.

Jul 27, 2012 With reengineered solver technology and meshing concept, SIGMASOFT® v5.0 can cut simulation time required in elastomer applications. Meshing technique uses unstructured meshes, which can automatically mesh finer regions where complex thermal and flow phenomena take place, such as part boundaries and thin walls. It can also save mesh elements in regions where fewer interactions take place. Through parallelization, solver architecture makes it possible to exploit potential of multi-core technology.

Jan 31, 2012 By consistently using Finite Volume Method with its 3D approach, SIGMASOFT® enables user to account for all relevant influencing factors in injection molding process, including part, mold, hot runner, and process management. Simulation model obtained is integrated into network automatically and with no finishing work required. Generated simulation model is then used to conduct thermal mold analyses, which serve as basis for component-related mold optimization and minimization of cycle times.
