Electronic Article Surveillance feature provides theft protection while Read Protect, which prevents unauthorized reading of tag, provides enhanced privacy protection. The EM4222 chip-set from EM Microelectronic is also supported and operational enhancements were added for TI's EPC Gen 2 chip.
