MultiComponent Model 2750 EP-NIR analyzer measures biodiesel and ethanol samples at 100 scans/sec. Measurements include methanol monitoring, water and total glycerin in biodiesel, water content in ethanol, biodiesel blend determination, and ethanol/gasoline blend analysis. Platform provides pass/fail information on biofuel contaminants before samples are sent for ASTM certification. Compact, rugged analyzer integrates into on-line process environment or can be field-deployed.

Capable of acquiring 100 scans/sec, MultiComponent(TM) 2750 Encoded Photometric Near Infrared (EP-NIR) process analyzer enables high sample throughput, real-time quality control monitoring, and optimal sensitivity through spectral averaging. It incorporates pre-aligned and pre-indexed optical design suited for applications in process environments such as biodiesel, edible oils, end point drying, protein/fat analysis, petrochemicals, and alcohols/starch.
EP-NIR Analyzer precisely measures water in ethanol.Aspectrics, Inc.

Mar 06, 2007
Designed for scientists working in process industry, MultiComponent(TM) 2750 Encoded Photometric Infrared (EP-IR) analyzer is used to measure water percentage in ethanol. This determination is of importance during purification process of ethanol when percentage of water needs to be minimized for ethanol to be as absolute as possible. Solution works when coupled to external halogen NIR source and extended range 2 mm pathlength process transmission multimode fiber probe.
