Microporous Insulation Board serves as back up insulation.

Microporous Insulation Board serves as back up insulation.

Thermal Ceramics, Inc.    Augusta, GA 30903
Nov 17, 2011 Based on ultra-fine particles of fumed silica, metal oxides, and reinforcement fibers, BTU-BLOCK(TM) Board limits air convection, heat conduction, and radiation transmission. When used as part of lining, product minimizes energy waste, temperature variability, insulation thickness, and cold face temperature. Board is suited for high-temperature applications in non-ferrous metals, chemical processing, power generation, and passive fire protection as well as commercial appliances and heaters.

Blanket Insulation reduces density, increases efficiency.

Thermal Ceramics, Inc.    Augusta, GA 30903
Apr 01, 2009 Superwool Plus, available in blanket and bulk formulations, makes it possible to reduce blanket density one full grade and still achieve acceptable results while also lessening weight of insulation package. Designed to conserve energy and respect environment, engineered solution has 1,200 to 1,832°F temperature range suited for appliance, automotive, power, and heat treating applications.

Castable Material solves refractory insulation problems.

Thermal Ceramics, Inc.    Augusta, GA 30903
Feb 04, 2008 Kaolite 2000-LI can be gunned or pumped into place for high temperature industrial processes. With its low iron oxide content, product can be used in carburizing furnaces or where high concentrations of CO gas are present. Strength-to-density ratio ranges from 11 to 12 psi/pcf. Low k values along with high cold crushing strengths of 450 psi at densities of 38-41 pcf provides insulation and thermal efficiency to reduce energy costs.
Moldable Material suits insulating and patching needs.

Oct 27, 2006 Superfil 607 Moldable wet mastic material is designed for continuous use up to 2,000ºF, and has smooth, semi-sticky consistency for application to refractory and fibrous surfaces. It is supplied ready-to-use from pail or caulking tube and used for repair and reinsulation of furnace lining cracks as well as for covering metal hardware. Non-wetting to molten aluminum makes it suited for applications in aluminum containing troughs, boxes, and furnaces.

Moldable/Pumpable Materials eliminate hot spots.

Thermal Ceramics, Inc.    Augusta, GA 30903
Jun 24, 2005 With operating temperatures of 2,000 or 2,400°F, fiber-based Kaofil® grades feature smooth consistency and workability. Pumpable products are installed with piston and diaphragm pumping equipment and are suited for hot spot repair in utility boilers, HRSG units, and blast furnace stoves. Moldable grades are suited for repair or joint filling applications in ferrous, non-ferrous, and commercial markets. Both come in 1 and 5 gal pails as well as 11¾ and 40 oz tube cartridges.

Refractory Castable offers alternative to 1:2:4 field mix.

Thermal Ceramics, Inc.    Augusta, GA 30903
Apr 06, 2005 Offering quality control from raw material specifications to manufacturing process, Kaolite 1:2:4 is tested by outside testing lab for standard quality conformance. Product, which can be gun or cast, is comprised of 1 part Lumnite or other mid-grade calcium aluminate cement; 2 parts haydite, expanded shale; and 4 parts vermiculite. Physical properties include 48–56 lb/ft³ density and 400–500 psi crushing strength, after firing at 1,500°F.

Insulation Board features cold crushing strength of 350 psi.

Thermal Ceramics, Inc.    Augusta, GA 30903
Nov 19, 2003 Model TR-19HS Block consists of 1,900°F, medium-density, vermiculite insulation board material. It offers K factor of 1.17 BTU in./hr ft² at 1,000°F. Available in thicknesses up to 7 in., material is thermally stable with shrinkage of less than 1.5% at 1,900°F. It offers resistance to direct flame exposure and cryolite vapor attack. Block can be cast or gunned against with refractory castables as well as utilized with firebrick, refractory plastic, or ceramic fiber linings.
Ceramic Fiber Board offers tight thickness tolerance.

Mar 27, 2003 Ceraboard® consists of 65% silica and 30% alumina with low level of organic binder. It offers high temperature stability, low thermal conductivity, high cohesive strength, and thermal shock resistance. Board can be cut and machined. Maximum temperature rating is 2300°F, and continuous temperature use rating is 2150°F. Standard sizes include 24 x 36 in. and 36 x 48 in. in thickness variations of 0.50, 1.00, and 2.00 in. Thickness tolerances range from ±0.05 in. to ±0.10 in.

Oct 23, 2002 Model V-19 Block, 1900ºF vermiculite composition board has nominal density of 24 lb/ft³ and average compressive strength of 134 psi. With no organic binders or fillers, material's fibers do not cause discomfort during installation. Dimensions, cut to size, provide tolerances of ±1/16 in. (max). It is available in standard 36 x 12 in. size block with thickness increments of 1, 1½, 2, 3, and 4 in. Standard blocks can be made into various shapes.

Ceramic-Fiber Blanket provides acoustic insulation.

Thermal Ceramics, Inc.    Augusta, GA 30903
Jun 13, 2002 Cerablanket® AC2 blanket has temperature rating of 2400°F and recommended continuous use limit of 2150°F. It is available in 3 and 4 lb/cu. ft. densities and in thickness of 1, 1 1/2, and 2 in. Airflow resistivity is 10,000 to 15,000 Rayls/m.
