All lifting and cutting functions are powered by electric drives for optimal energy efficiency. Packages can be formed with depths to 40 mm with flexible design possibilities and modified atmosphere (MAP). Suited for lower-volume applications, system accommodates users with limited space and who are new to automated thermoform fill-seal packaging.

While IPC 06 control system for electronic validation of parameters is standard, optional RFID technology facilitates tracking of machine operator control changes. Barcode scanner may also be integrated for tracking batch production processes.

Using thermoform fill and seal process, packaging is created and filled with products on systems that mold film to fit product, then seal it with top web of film or paperboard. Carded backs and product inserts can be dropped in plastic mold for certain applications. Easy open features can be incorporated, allowing packaging to function as storage and dispensing case.

Optimum seal integrity is guaranteed and validated through precise mechanical sealing pressure, temperature regulation, and time control. Machine can incorporate integrated vacuum pumps, external gas mixers, and gas-flush injectors for MAP applications. It is all stainless steel with removable side panels for access to major components.

Within vacuum packaging process, paper money or documents are squeezed together creating firm, straight-edged, stackable packages. Coins are packaged in tightly woven, tear-proof Tyvek bags. Film provides protection against moisture, so oxidation is avoided and mold cannot form.

Apr 15, 2003 Cross Web and In-line Labelers can apply top or bottom labels with accuracy to ±.5 mm. All machines incorporate stainless steel control cabinet. Cross Web has completely enclosed frame preventing particle and water trapping for optimal sanitation and meeting both food and medical packaging standards. Internet-driven monitor helps to optimize label placement and troubleshoot potential processing problems.
