Norplex Micarta    Postville, IA 52162
Mar 28, 2012 Composed of heavy weave glass fabric with epoxy resin system, RT571 exhibits strength at elevated temperatures and facilitates production of thick walled tubes. Walls can be up to 2X ID without checks and cracks. Compliant with NEMA G-10 and MIL-I-24768/2 Type GEE, tubing can be manufactured in standard lengths of 36 and 48 in. with IDs from 0.750-35.688 in., ODs from 1.00-36 in., and wall thickness from 0.125-2.00 in.

Norplex Micarta    Postville, IA 52162
Jun 19, 2009 Designed for load-bearing applications in ships, metal-rolling mills, and off-road construction equipment, BR60 and BR70 laminates perform under continuous water exposure without loosing strength. They consist of multiple piles of heavy-weight canvas cloth saturated with phenolic resin system, modified disulfide, which provides internal lubrication to reduce frictional heat generation and wear of metal shafts on bearing. Composites will not seize to metal shafts or score them.

Norplex Micarta    Postville, IA 52162
May 20, 2009 Consisting of multiple plies of woven fiberglass saturated with polyimide resin, P95 offers high mechanical strength and low coefficient of thermal expansion. Material maintains physical properties at temperatures up to 240°C, and other properties, such as compressive strength of 70,000 psi, low moisture absorption, and chemical resistance, allow use in variety of harsh environments. It is finished in 36 x 48 in. sheets with thicknesses ranging from 0.007-4.00 in.

Norplex Micarta    Postville, IA 52162
Feb 04, 2009 Comprised of 4 grades, NP193 series features blend of aramid fabric substrates impregnated with various resins. While NP193E uses high-temperature epoxy resin for wear resistance, NP193M uses melamine resin for corrosion resistance. Use of high-temperature phenolic resin system with woven aramid fiber/glass fabric imbues NP193P with mechanical strength, while NP193PM combines high-temperature phenolic resin with aramid and soft glass fibers as well as non-conducting solid lubricant.

Norplex Micarta    Postville, IA 52162
Oct 03, 2007 Consistently maintaining surface resistivity of 106 to 109 W/square, StatNot(TM) XC stabilizes static electricity and conductivity. It combines with certain base materials to achieve critical material properties for specific application requirements, such as mechanical strength, moisture resistance, and creep resistance. Composite surface is suited for applications in electronic assembly, such as test fixtures and assembly work surfaces.
Custom Tubing features overwrapped design.

Custom Tubing features overwrapped design.

Norplex Micarta    Postville, IA 52162
Aug 08, 2007 Available in lengths of 36 and 48 in., OverWrap Tubing can be manufactured with overwrap sizes of 0.625-2 in. and outside diameters from 0.75-3.5 in. Composite material is wrapped around rigid core, enabling manufacturers to use products with different properties on inside and outside of tube. OverWrap Tubing can enclose virtually any rigid tubing or cylindrical core that adheres to composite prepreg materials, including steel, copper, brass, and certain thermoplastics.
