Photo Detect IC consumes 0.1 nA typ at 5.5 V supply.

Seiko Instruments U.S.A., Inc.    Torrance, CA 90505
Jul 27, 2012 Supplied in 2.9 x 2.8 x 1.3 mm SOT-23-5 package, S-5470 series enables design of light/dark detection switch circuits with zero power consumption (nW class). ICs detect electrical current generated by photodiodes and LEDs when exposed to light without need for amplifiers using low-power CMOS technology. This achieves zero-power consumption (nW class) circuit designs and enables design of shading detection switches based on illumination differences between 2 PV devices.

Temperature Switch IC consumes 180 nA.

Seiko Instruments U.S.A., Inc.    Torrance, CA 90505
Jun 17, 2011 Supplied in 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.4 mm or 1.2 x 1.6 x 0.5 mm package, S-5844 series monitors temperature to keep battery-operated, portable device functioning within normal operating range. IC detects specified temperature and protects device from heat generation by inverting output when temperature threshold is reached. Output voltage is restored when temperature drops to specified release temperature. IC operates from 1.65 V and over -40 to +125°C range.

Serial EEPROMs have capacity range of 1 Kbit to 1 Mbit.

Seiko Instruments U.S.A., Inc.    Torrance, CA 90505
Mar 01, 2011 The S-24C and S-25C Series feature 2-wire interface and SPI interface, respectively. Each series has 1 Kbit to 1 Mbit capacity and can be specified in 8-pin SOP, 8-pin TSSOP, SNT-8A or TMSOP-8 package configuration. Along with operating voltage read of 1.5-5.5 V or 1.7-5.5 V, features include operating frequency of 400 kHz, page write of 16 bytes/page, and data retention capability of 100 years at +25°C.

LDO Voltage Regulator ICs feature 850 mW power dissipation.

Seiko Instruments U.S.A., Inc.    Torrance, CA 90505
Feb 22, 2011 Housed in 0.8 x 0.8 x 0.4 mm package, S-1312/1313 Series features ultra-low 20 µA/0.9 µA current consumption and ripple rejection of 75 dB. Thermal shutdown capability automatically protects circuit when junction temperature reaches 150°C and restarts regulation when it drops to 120°C. With outer lead design that minimizes failure rates related to circuit board flexing and mechanical shock, ICs are suited for smart phones, cell phones, digital cameras, and notebook PCs.

Feb 04, 2010 Measuring 5.12 x 3.27 x 1.77 in., DPU-S245 prints 58 mm wide receipts with 203 dpi output at rates to 100 mm/sec for mobile workforce applications. Bluetooth®, IrDA, USB, and serial interfaces enable wireless and wired connectivity, and support for EZ-OP(TM) clamshell-style tray facilitates paper replacement. Rated for 50 km printed output, equivalent to 320,000+ 6 in. printouts, product weighs 0.62 lb and has 48 mm print width.

Temperature Switch IC regulates operation based on heat.

Seiko Instruments U.S.A., Inc.    Torrance, CA 90505
Jan 12, 2010 Able to detect temperature over 40 to +120° range with accuracy of ±2.5°, S-5843A Series inverts output when temperature reaches detection temperature and restores output voltage when temperature drops to level of release temperature. Temperature sensor with negative temperature coefficient, reference voltage generation circuit, comparator, and delay circuit are integrated in one Pb-free package. Operating from 1.65 V supply, IC draws 4.5 µA typ due to CMOS configuration.

Comparator ICs incorporate general-purpose analog circuit.

Seiko Instruments U.S.A., Inc.    Torrance, CA 90505
Jan 11, 2010 Suitable for small battery-powered portable equipment, S-89230/89240 Series consists of CMOS type comparators with VDD of 1.8-5.5 V and IDD of 23 µA/5 µA. Lead-free units are available in SNT-8A and TMSOP-8 packages with input offset voltage of 4.0 mV max. Applications include mobile phones, notebook PCs, digital cameras, and digital video cameras.
