Cycle time is less than 0.4 sec, and return cylinder indicator option is available for automation applications when it is necessary to know when marker is clear. Double-acting, air-operated impact marker is precision machined and chromed from steels weighted to minimize shock at impact.

Pneumatic marking pin and carbide tip inscribe different materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Communicating via Ethernet IP, Modbus, Serial, and I/O, system controller can be programmed remotely using included I-Mark Windows® software.

Rohm chuck, and ID/OD claws are included for versatile part fixturing. Three-axis stepper motor system connects to PC via USB interface and controls dot peen marking stylus, which is available in electric or pneumatic versions with respective marking capacities of .004 and .002 in. in standard steel.

Operated from 110 V, it offers production rate of 30 sec/tag and marking window of 1.6 x 2.3 in. Tags measure 1.25 x 3 in. and are 0.19 in. thick. System controller includes 15 in. TFT touchscreen, 2 USB ports, and Ethernet port for remote management.

Sep 07, 2007 Using soft-impact marking action, Slide-a-Mark(TM) Series marks various metallic or non-metallic surfaces. Available in standard and high power ranges, Models 751 and 851 feature marking force of 8 and 10 tons, respectively with max suggested operating pressure of 80 psi. Standard tool has max approach stroke of 2˝ in. However, either model can be ordered with max strokes of 4, 6, and 8 in. Both are equipped with fixed, internal flow or speed controls that do not require adjustment.

Standalone machine lowers/raises carriers into marking position via pneumatic lift before parts are centered and clamped. During production, parts can be robotically or manually loaded and unloaded.
