BPA-Free Oligomers enhance food packaging inks and coatings.

Sartomer Americas    Exton, PA 19341
Jun 02, 2014 Bisphenol A (BPA)-free acrylic oligomers CN2910, CN2911, and CN2912 meet regulatory requirements while delivering performance needed for ink and coating applications in food packaging industry. Resistant to water, these clear liquids also do not contain major components listed on 2014 Nestlé Guidance Note on Packaging Inks. Characteristics include accelerated cure response, high gloss and impact strength, low shrinkage, as well as solvent resistance in coatings and inks.

Dual-Cure Oligomer targets exterior hardcoat applications.

Sartomer Americas    Exton, PA 19341
Mar 07, 2013 Combining acrylate and hydroxyl functionalities for dual-cure capability, CN9062 imparts hardness and scratch resistance to protective coatings for automotive surfaces, plastic substrates, and electronic devices. Liquid oligomer is UV/EB curable and is reactive with NCO based on its hydroxyl functionality. PETA-free product minimizes irritation potential while adding durability to coatings for wood, metal, plastic, and glass, as well as variety of inks ranging from flexo to inkjet.

Liquid Coagent optimizes properties of rubber and plastic.

Sartomer Americas    Exton, PA 19341
Sep 17, 2012 Encompassing both Type I and Type II classifications, SR523 Coagent minimizes cure times and optimizes processability of peroxide-cured elastomers compared to conventional coagents such as triallyl cyanurate. Product demonstrates scorch resistance and remains clear at ambient temperature. Coagent is suitable for rubber and plastics used for building profiles, injection molded goods, radiator hoses, wire and cable insulation as well as O-rings, gaskets, and seals.

Oligomer provides durability for automotive applications.

Sartomer Americas    Exton, PA 19341
Jun 01, 2011 Able to provide resilience in automotive components, CN9025 aliphatic urethane acrylate has non-yellowing, PETA-free formula that reduces irritation risk to formulators and production personnel. Coatings that employ this product demonstrate weatherability as well as resistance to abrasion and chemicals. Uses include UV-/EB-cured hard-coat applications in automotive industry, including body panels, head lamps, plastic parts, and accessories.

Copolymer offers heat and water resistance.

Sartomer Americas    Exton, PA 19341
Mar 13, 2009 Available in flake, powder, and ammonia solution form, SMA®2021 styrene maleic anhydride copolymer offers heat resistance without compromising water resistance in polymer modification, leather re-tanning, graphic arts, coatings, and overprint varnish applications. Product is approved for use in various FDA applications, including adhesives that are separated from food by functional barrier, and paper and paperboard components in contact with aqueous, fatty, and dry foods.

Polyester Acrylate Oligomers offer accelerated cure rates.

Sartomer Americas    Exton, PA 19341
Mar 02, 2009 While CN2261LV is suited for UV-curable wood coating applications where hardness and abrasion resistance are required, CN2264 offers increased flexibility and maintains hardness, abrasion resistance, and cure rate for flexographic and screen ink as well as wood, floor, and paper coating applications. Tetrafunctional polyester acrylate oligomer, CN2282, maintains flexibility for use in coatings, inks, and adhesives where toughness and flexibility are desired.

Hydrophobic Urethane Acrylate Oligomer resists chemicals.

Sartomer Americas    Exton, PA 19341
Feb 03, 2009 Compatible with hydrophobic acrylate monomers, CN9014 offers chemical resistance and also acts as pigment dispersing aid. Cured films of this cloudy liquid, which offers low yellowing characteristics, can have Tg values to -41°C and are flexible as well as resistant to alkali, acid, and humidity. Additional characteristics include 230 psi tensile strength, 18,000 cps @ 60°C viscosity, and 1.4786 refractive index @ 25°C.

Scorch-Retarding Co-agent suits peroxide-cured elastomers.

Sartomer Americas    Exton, PA 19341
Sep 29, 2008 Type SR533R is scorch-retarding version of triallyl isocyanurate (TAIC) that allows formulators to mitigate rapid onset of scorch and cure safety while maintaining cured physical properties. It is effective in peroxide cure of elastomers for applications such as oil and gas exploration, aerospace seals, and automotive and off-road gaskets that encounter sustained high temperatures and pressures.
