Compounds provide EMI shielding in electronics enclosures.

Premix Thermoplastics, Inc.    Milton, WI 53563
May 31, 2006 Available in any thermoplastic resin system, PRE-ELEC® EMI materials are one-step solutions that provide upwards of 90 dB shielding effectiveness. Compounds are offered in PP, ABS, POM, PC, PBT, PA-6, PA-66, PPS, PSul, PES, and PEEK. While products utilizing stainless steel fiber additives are available in fully compounded or dry blended forms, compounds using carbon fibers or nickel coated carbon fiber additives are available in fully compounded forms only.

Polyacetal Compounds provide ESD protection.

Premix Thermoplastics, Inc.    Milton, WI 53563
Dec 12, 2005 With conductivity less than 1 x 105, PRE-ELEC 12-000 conductive compounds are based on copolymer polyacetal with carbon black or carbon fiber additive, while PRE-ELEC 12-031 compounds can be colored without affecting electrical properties. Ranging from 1 x 109 to 1 x 1011 §Ã™, PRE-ELEC ESD 12-000 static dissipative compounds are colorable alloys of copolymer polyacetal and inherently dissipative polymers.

May 03, 2005 Electrically conductive PRE-ELEC® CR products are fully compounded and can be molded without concern for hot spots. They allow users to specify electrical resistivity range, volume or surface, required for specific applications and provide alternative to inherently dissipative polymers for providing static dissipation. Manufactured with precision compounding techniques, products can be made with volume resistance from less than 1 ohm-cm to 1 x 1011 ohm-cm.

Oct 12, 2004 PRE-ELEC compounds are based on chopped carbon fiber, milled carbon fiber, and carbon nanotubes. They are available with as much as 60% carbon fiber in nylon 6/66 and PPS, and at least 40% in others, including PP, ABS, PC, POM, and PSul. Compounds based on milled carbon fiber are less prone to warpage, while compounds that are based on carbon nanotubes can be electrically conductive with as little as 3% fiber reinforcement.

Feb 09, 2004 HIPS-based static dissipative compound, PRE-ELEC ESD 6110, is formulated for co-extrusion of ESD sheet. Inherently dissipative polymer is colorable, washable, reusable, recyclable, clean, and permanently dissipative, even in conditions with humidity levels down to 12%. Polymer suits thermoformed ESD-proof packaging applications in the electronics, medical, pharmaceutical, and paper handling industries.

Jun 11, 2003 PRESEAL(TM) highly conductive, thermoplastic elastomers are formulated for EMI/RFI gasketing in electronics industry. They can be injection molded into complex shapes and sizes and can be extruded, or over-molded onto HIPS, ABS, PC/ABS, PC, and PPO-PS for molded-in gaskets. Compounds provide EMI shielding and have volume resistivity of <0.01 ohm-cm, 100 dB shielding effectiveness, and <35% compression set.
