Laser Machine welds chute channels in instrument panels.Jenoptik Laser Technologies USA Corp.
Brighton, MI 48116
Oct 16, 2012
Suitable for welding plastic materials in automotive applications, JENOPTIK-VOTAN® W integrates switchable laser line which is moved along welding area via linear unit, enabling contactless processing of components with dimensions exceeding normal scan field of scanning system. Strength of welded joint achieves values of up to 90% of basic strength of material. With machine, welding of airbag chute channels in instrument panels and large car body parts is possible.
Form Measuring Systems handle workpieces up to 40 kg.Jenoptik Laser Technologies USA Corp.

May 24, 2012
Designed for workpieces up to 430 mm in diameter, Hommel-Etamic F435 and F455 complete fully automatic measurement of geometrical tolerances, surface roughness, and straightness in single setup. Advanced probe design permits roughness and waviness inspections along with form and position tolerance measurements via adjustment on rotary control. With CNC rotation and tilt module, fully automatic axial and radial measurements are performed without interruption.

Based on diode-pumped disk laser technology, JenLas® D2.fs emits pulse energies of 40 µJ at 100 kHz repetition rate and can operate in 30-200 kHz range. Beam quality of M˛ less than or equal to 1.25 near theoretical limit, together with pulse duration of less than or equal to 400 fs supports industrial applications. Some uses include 3D-micro material ablation of metal or polymer, thin layer ablation in semiconductor industry, or removal of dielectric layers on crystal solar cells.
