Servo Bag Gripper can palletize multiple bag widths.

Servo Bag Gripper can palletize multiple bag widths.

SAS Automation, Ltd.    Xenia, OH 45385
Jan 23, 2013 Incorporating stainless steel fingers, independent Decker Plates, and top-mounted bag clamps, SBG-50 lets one robot palletize 2 in – 2 out conveyor systems or one in-feed conveyor with multiple bag sizes. Servo width adjusting Bag Gripper, used for simultaneously palletizing multiple bag widths from 265–500 mm, delivers accurate bag drop placement. Manual adjustment allows for bags as narrow as 165 mm, and system nominally accommodates 65–165 mm high bags up to 50 kg.

Dec 03, 2012 Using stainless steel fingers for their strength and resistance to harsh manufacturing environments, FBG-22 offers manual adjustment for bag widths from 290–450 mm and features spring-return aluminum decking plates to guide bag. Decker mechanism, designed into tool, facilitates accurate bag drop once positioned over pallet, and other design features include rugged aluminum weldment main frame, ultrasonic bag presence sensor, and 9.5 mm dia solid aluminum fingers with ball-nose ends.
Double Metal Sheet Detector detects ferrous metal thickness.

Double Metal Sheet Detector detects ferrous metal thickness.

SAS Automation, Ltd.    Xenia, OH 45385
Aug 13, 2012 Integrated into robotic End-of-Arm Tooling and used for blank feeding press, Model DSD-36 permits double metal detection with minimal magnetic attraction of sheet or blank up to single thickness of 0.25 in. Presence of double sheet produces output to stop machine or to signal operator, eliminating die/machine damage from receiving too many sheets. Comprising control module in sheet metal housing with single probe, system uses pulsed electromagnetic detection to determine metal thickness.

Aug 06, 2012 Robotic End-of-Arm Tooling for muffin and cake depanning accommodates products of different shapes and sizes. Unit features stainless steel needle grippers, each with 4 curved needles to depan 144 muffins from 2 moving baking pans on oven conveyor. Product compresses muffin spacing in 2 directions for deposit into retail and wholesale trays on conveyor nearby. Welded tubular stainless steel frame allows mounting of grippers, stroking cylinders, bushing rails, and actuating cylinders.

SAS Automation, Ltd.    Xenia, OH 45385
Feb 07, 2012 Used when sprues and runner systems do not stay on ejector pins after ejection from mold, GSZ Spring Loaded Sprue Plier Arm enables GRZ 20-16... Sprue/Part Pliers to absorb ejector stroke of mold. This inline spring arm has end ported for quick-touch pneumatic hose connectors and is available with clampable and threaded shafts. Latter includes jam nut and lock washers for plate mounting.
Electric Grippers handle high-speed applications.

Electric Grippers handle high-speed applications.

SAS Automation, Ltd.    Xenia, OH 45385
Dec 30, 2011 Cleaner than pneumatic or hydraulic grippers, Electric Grippers are effective for handling circuit boards or other dust-sensitive products. Microprocessor can be added, which could be used to vary clamping force and velocity. This enables grippers to handle variety of sizes and shapes and minimizes need to change grippers to accommodate different types of parts.
Tool Changers quickly, accurately mount EAOT to robot arm.

Tool Changers quickly, accurately mount EAOT to robot arm.

SAS Automation, Ltd.    Xenia, OH 45385
Nov 03, 2011 SAS Automation tool changers facilitate and accelerate mounting of EOAT (end-of-arm tooling) and gripper systems to robot arm by automatically connecting multiple ports, including air, vacuum, and electric. Robot side (QSR) is permanently attached to robot arm, and tool side (QST) is permanently attached to each individual EOAT. EOAT mounts to robot by fitting 2 sides together and then locking them into position.
