Bondable, Biocompatible TPEs suit medical device applications.

RTP Co.    Winona, MN 55987
May 30, 2012 Pre-tested for compliance with ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards, RTP 6042 MD and RTP 6003 MD Series are naturally opaque, fully colorable, and offer respective Shore A hardness ranges of 40-70 and 45-75. Both thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) bondable grades, designated as change controlled compounds, are formulated to bond with ABS, PC, PC alloys, PBT, rigid TPU, or co-polyester substrates using multi-shot or insert molding processes.

PLA Compounds offer high strength and heat resistance.

RTP Co.    Winona, MN 55987
Feb 17, 2012 Impact-modified polylactic acid (PLA) bioplastic compounds are designed for select semi-durable and durable applications and offer enhanced impact strength and high heat deflection temperatures. Available in both injection and extrusion grades, PLA compounds are fully colorable and have bio-content as high as 95% depending on additive loading levels. Applications include molded covers, housings, and structural components for appliance, consumer electronics, office equipment and medical devices.

PLA Bioplastic Compounds deliver strength, thermal performance.

RTP Co.    Winona, MN 55987
Jun 15, 2011 Glass fiber-reinforced polylactic acid (PLA) compounds, optimized for strength, stiffness, and thermal performance, target durable and semi-durable applications. Engineered bioplastic compounds offer sustainable alternative to traditional hydrocarbon-based thermoplastics. Fully colorable, PLA bio-polymers have glass fiber loadings from 10%-40%; 30% grade has 16,500 psi tensile strength, 1,630,000 psi flexural modulus, and 320°F heat deflection temperature at 66 psi.

Specialty Compounds utilize post-consumer content resins.

RTP Co.    Winona, MN 55987
Jan 13, 2010 Based on plastics diverted from solid waste streams through recycling programs, PCC Compounds are available in nylon, polycarbonate, and polyethylene terephthalate resins, as well as alloys based on these post-consumer feedstocks. Percentage of reclaimed material in polymer component can range from 1-100%, depending on application. Contributing to EPEAT or LEED scoring, environmentally conscious compounds provide color, conductive, flame-retardant, structural, and wear-resistant properties.
Polymeric Compounds provide wear resistance.

Polymeric Compounds provide wear resistance.

RTP Co.    Winona, MN 55987
May 28, 2009 Available in PA, PC, POM, PBT, and PC/ABS resins, All-Polymeric Wear Additive Compounds are non-halogenated, RoHS-compliant, and free of particulate or fluid additives. Products offer plastic-on-plastic wear resistance without sacrificing properties inherent to host resin. Providing optimal flow during molding, blemish-free surface appearance, and complete colorability, olefin-based APWA technology is suited for gears, bushings, rollers, impellers, and moving/sliding parts.
Color Masterbatches target wire and cable industry.

Color Masterbatches target wire and cable industry.

RTP Co.    Winona, MN 55987
Apr 02, 2009 Suited for coloring complex melt processable fluoropolymer resins used as plenum space jacketing materials, MPFP Color Masterbatches come in 10 color-coding formulations matched to Munsell and RAL standards. Products are available in FEP and PVDF resin systems and are expandable to include other MPFP resins as needed. They maintain inherent flame retardancy and low smoke emissions that allow fluoropolymers to be used as jacketing material for plenum spaces.

Flame-Retardant TPE Compounds are RoHS-compliant.

RTP Co.    Winona, MN 55987
Mar 23, 2009 Addressing needs of electrical/electronics and other component manufacturers, decaBDE-free and flame-retardant thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds can be used with multi-shot or overmolding techniques. UL94 flammability ratings for these compounds are predominately V-0 @ 1/16 in., with some grades extending down to 1/32 in. products can also be combined with additional compounding technologies, from color to conductivity, while maintaining RoHS compliance.
Thermoplastic Elastomers offer Shore A hardness of 55.

Jul 24, 2008 Combining functional performance of thermoset rubbers with processability of injection moldable thermoplastics, ESD C 2800 B Series features volume resistivity of 100 W-cm and consistent wide processing window across Shore A hardness range of 55-85. Electrically conductive, TPV-based products offer suitable drop-in replacement for applications where ESD protection with TPE properties is needed.

Bondable TPEs offer wide processing window.

RTP Co.    Winona, MN 55987
May 06, 2008 Featuring consistent mechanical properties across hardness spectrum of 50-75 Shore A, Series RTP 6042 thermoplastic elastomer compounds bond variety of rigid substrates including PC, ABS, PC/ABS, PC/PBT, PC/PMMA, and RTPU resins. Compounds are suited for rugged electronic devices with over-molded designs where optimal tensile and shear strength as well as abrasion resistance is required.

Carbon Compounds are offered in multiple resin systems.

RTP Co.    Winona, MN 55987
May 31, 2007 Carbon nanotube (CNT) compounds are available in multiple resin systems, including polycarbonate (PC), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate (PETG), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyetherimide (PEI), and polyetheretherketone (PEEK). While eliminating isotropic affects, products also deliver electrical conductivity and eliminate residual voltage. They suit applications requiring strict liquid particle count standards for cleanliness.
