Structural PVB Interlayer suits laminated glass applications.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Feb 15, 2012 Designed for applications in which rigidity and high glass adhesion are required, Saflex® DG combines glass containment, UV screening, edge stability, and clarity features. Interlayer is suited for use with annealed and heat-strengthened glass, enabling designs with minimized optical distortion and spontaneous breakage, as well as view-through capability after breakage. Specific applications include exposed edge laminates, floors, stairs, balconies, and point glazing systems.

Low-E Window Film promotes energy efficiency.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Feb 01, 2012 Intended for commercial/residential use, EnerLogic® 70 combines low-e coating, virtually invisible appearance, and visible light transmission of up to 70%. Low-e coating effectively transforms the insulating power of single-pane windows into double-pane and double-pane windows into triple-pane for year-round energy conservation. In summer, heat from sun is reflected away from windows. In winter, radiant heat from home's heating system is directed back into interior.

Solar Interlayer helps reduce CO2 emissions, increase EV range.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Oct 06, 2011 Saflex® S Series Interlayer provides safety benefits of automotive laminated glazing and also absorbs solar heat transmitted through vehicle's glazing. By absorbing IR radiation, product helps reduce air conditioning usage and CO2 emissions as well as improve vehicle fuel economy. Absorbing solutions are signal enabling and compatible with wireless devices. Drop-in windscreen solution can also promote benefit current and new internal combustion vehicle models.

Glass Interlayer System targets safety glass applications.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Apr 06, 2011 With uniform neutral gray color and light transmittance of 61%, Vanceva® Ocean Grey interlayer can be used alone or layered with itself or other colors to create varying degrees of transparent, translucent, or opaque grays and rich deep hues of blue, red, and amber. When properly laminated and installed, laminates made with Vanceva Ocean Grey can be produced to meet or exceed architectural regulations for safety glazing applications in indoor and outdoor areas.

Solar Absorbing Interlayer targets global automotive market.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Oct 06, 2010 In addition to providing safety of laminated automotive glazing, Saflex® S Series helps HVAC engineers control interior temperature of vehicle. Interlayer technology absorbs infrared radiation rather than reflecting it, providing solution for hybrid electric and pure electric vehicle applications. By cutting cabin heat, Saflex S enables use of smaller air conditioning systems and allows electric vehicles to maximize driving range for each charge.

Solar PVB Encapsulant combats photovoltaic module corrosion.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Aug 11, 2010 IEC-certified, RoHS-approved, and UL-recognized, Saflex® PS41 PVB prevents corrosion in solar cells while also inhibiting discoloration. Product is specifically suited for protecting against metal migration and maintaining original aesthetics of solar modules in building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) applications. Formula prevents electromigration when in contact with metals such as silver, nickel, and vanadium, which typically lead to discoloration.

Architectural Window Film increases insulation efficiency.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Apr 22, 2010 Featuring low-e coating, EnerLogic(TM) Series adds up to 92% more insulating power to existing commercial and residential windows. It improves energy efficiency in every season by reflecting away heat from sun in summer and directing radiant heat from heating systems back into rooms during winter. Application effectively transforms insulating power of single-pane windows into double-pane, and double-pane windows into triple-pane.

Automotive Window Film does not hinder electronic signals.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Mar 19, 2010 Utilizing Ceramatrix(TM) Advanced Technology, LLumar® CTX(TM) series blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays and provides up to 60% heat rejection without blocking electronic signal transmissions. This creates comfortable environment for passengers while protecting vehicle's interior. Adding to passenger privacy while also reducing glare by up to 94%, soft charcoal color enhances vehicle appearance inside and out while providing shade range from 5%-50%.

Embossed Solar Encapsulant targets photovoltaic applications.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Mar 02, 2010 Thin gauge encapsulant Saflex® PG41 is designed to enhance solar panel throughput for solar module manufacturers that use vacuum encapsulation process. Embossing technology creates micro channels on surface of encapsulant, which facilitate quick removal of air during vacuum encapsulation process, while also reducing visual defects due to air bubbles trapped in encapsulant. Product is less moisture sensitive at edges, even with fluctuating humidity.

Window Film improves energy efficiency, internal comfort.

Solutia, Inc.    Saint Louis, MO 63166
Feb 04, 2010 Suited for use where interior glass is inaccessible or concern about excessive thermal stress exists, Vista(TM) Exterior Film Series minimizes heat build-up by rejecting up to 83% of solar energy. Non-stick hardcoat, designed to extend product life, is scratch resistant and also facilitates window cleaning, as dirt and other pollutants wash away with water.
