Apr 19, 2013 Comprised of board mount, unregulated DC/DC modules in 1 and 2 W configurations, PDS and PES series are suited for converting/isolating DC rails within industrial, telecom, security, and machine control applications. Products operate from -40 to +105°C and offer 1.5 kVdc isolation and anti-static protection up to 8 kVdc. Providing nominal inputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, and 24 Vdc, converters come in single- and dual-output configurations with efficiencies as high as 89% in 2 W models.

Products operate from universal 90–264 Vac input and are available with single outputs of 12, 24, and 48 Vdc. While open frame models are rated for operation at 80% load from -20 to +40°C ambient (derating to 40% load at 70°C), enclosed versions are rated for operation at 100% load over same range and with same derating values.

Input configurations include 40–60 Vdc for datacom or 36–75 Vdc for telecom applications. Output voltage for all models is preset at 12 Vdc but dynamically adjustable via PMBus from 4.0–13.2 Vdc (NEQ) and 6.9–13.2 Vdc (NEB).

Designer can dynamically test and manipulate desired functions within their system, monitor results, and set desired fault management functions. At half load, efficiencies are rated above 93%, and other features include precision ramp control and margining.
