Jul 21, 2010 Offering alternative to glass, ROHAGLAS® is multilayer transparent, weathering- and UV-resistant barrier film based on polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) that serves as front cover to solar cells. Its water vapor barrier is 10^-3 g/m²/day and transmission rates are 88 and 90% in short-wave and long-wave regions. Plastic barrier film enables thin film solar cells to be produced in continuous roll-to-roll manufacturing process.

Clear Acrylic Polymer is suited for optical applications.
