Synchronous Current PFM/PWM Buck Reglator comes in 8-pin SOIC.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
May 08, 2013 Capable of delivering constant output current up to 3 A and operating input up to 18 V, PowerBlox™ XRP7675 synchronous current mode Pulse Frequency Modulation/Pulse Width Modulation (PFM/PWM) step down (buck) voltage regulator suits energy-efficient products requiring constantly-on power supplies. Product is optimized for 5 and 12 V inputs, with programmable output voltage down to 0.925 V, and delivers efficiencies from 85% at 30 mA load to as high as 95% up to 3 A.

Step Down Voltage Regulator delivers max load current of 2 A.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
Apr 03, 2013 With operating input voltage up to 18 V, PowerBlox™ XRP7674 achieves better than 90% efficient conversions for output current as low as 50 mA. Synchronous current mode PFM/PWM buck regulator operates at fixed 340 kHz switching frequency, with output voltage adjustable down to 0.925 V and ±2% accuracy across operating range. Housed in RoHS-compliant, halogen-free 8-Pin SOIC package, regulator is suited for set-top boxes, telecom, computing peripherals, and distributed POL conversions.

RS-232 Transceiver features power conserving design.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
Dec 24, 2012 Single-driver/single-receiver RS-232 transceiver, SP3221E, integrates AUTO ON-LINE® feature that automatically wakes up unit from shutdown state when RS-232 cable is connected and peripheral device is activated. When not connected or in use, unit automatically shuts down and draws less than 1 µA. Internal charge-pump power supply and driver architecture allow this 250 kbps transceiver to deliver compliant RS-232 performance from single +3.0 to +5.5 V supply.

Power Distribution Switch suits self-powered USB applications.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
Dec 12, 2012 Delivering 1.0 A of continuous load current on each channel across USB 3.0 interconnections, dual channel XRP2524 independently manages all aspects of V(BUS) power distribution and provides fault protection of host power supply and attached peripherals. Device accepts input voltage from 2.7–6.5 V allowing for operations from 3.3 V and 5 V power rails. Switch seamlessly interfaces with any USB controller through channel independent active-high enable logic and fault flag.

Programmable LED Driver drives LED currents up to 1.2 A.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
Dec 05, 2012 Operating from input voltages up to 36 V, Model XRP7613 supports analog and Pulse Width Modulation dimming up to 40 KHz. Non-synchronous step down driver features switching frequency up to 1 MHz and programmable output current from 150 mA to 1.2 A. Selectable LED thermal current fold-back control linearly reduces LED current as temperature rises to ensure continuous lighting. Housed in 8-pin exposed pad SOIC package, driver is RoHS-compliant and halogen-free.

Programmable Power Management IC comes with development software.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
Oct 26, 2012 Programmable via I˛C-based, SMBus-compliant serial interface, XRP7724 comes with PowerArchitect™ v5.0 and provides dynamic optimization and customizable configuration through on-board memory. Product comes in 7 x 7 mm TQFN package and, in addition to 5 GPIOs for system control, offers single-input, quad-output, step down switching regulator controller with integrated gate drivers and 2 LDO outputs. Switching conversion frequencies are programmable from 106 kHz to 1.2 MHz.

Low-Noise LDO helps power noise-sensitive RF applications.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
Dec 16, 2011 Supporting single 1.8-6 V input voltage rail, XRP6272 provides 2 A point-of-load with adjustable output voltage. Product is equally capable of delivering power from as low as 0.7 V for core voltage to 5 V for RF circuitry. Output noise level of 24 µV(RMS), combined with Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR) of 70 dB, makes LDO suited for noise-sensitive applications, while quiescent current of 30 µA addresses portable equipment requirements. Output voltage accuracy is better than ±2%.

GPIO Expanders offer 8-bit and 16-bit options.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
Oct 05, 2011 Operating from 1.65-3.6 V with 5 V tolerant inputs, Series XRA120x supports I2C/SMBus(TM) frequency up to 400 KHz, while Series XRA140x works with SPI(TM) clock frequency up to 26 MHz. When configured as input, each GPIO has internal pull-up resistor that can be enabled or disabled. Polarity of input can also be inverted, and with filters on each input, noise or glitches are ignored. Interrupt can be configured to generate interrupt on rising edge, falling edge, or both edges.

OTN Muxponder enables development of any service-any port line cards.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
Jul 25, 2011 Designed to help future-proof networks, Model MXP2(TM) ASSP is targeted at ROADM/DWDM and Edge Aggregation platforms in OTN transport applications. Device enables development of any service-any port line cards and consolidation of service specific muxponders into single universal design. Eight watt, 2 x 10G single chip solution includes G.709 features such as ODU0, ODUflex, and GMP, enabling services to be mapped to size appropriate OTN containers and multiplexed in single multiplexing stage.

Data Storage Managemement Software dedupes and encrypts data.

Exar Corp.    Fremont, CA 94538
Apr 07, 2011 Compatible with Windows® and Linux, BitWackr(TM) v2.2 is capable of reducing data through deduplication and lossless compression across all storage tiers. Data is also encrypted while it traverses network to cloud or to on-premise storage. Virtual Block Device technology lets program remain transparent to applications, OS, file systems, and volume managers, while PCIe hardware acceleration technologies provide in-line performance required for Tier-0 and Tier-1 storage deployments.
