Addition Curing System creates custom pourable silicone rubber.Wacker Chemical Corp. Chino, CA 91710
Jun 04, 2013 With ELASTOSIL® VARIO modular system, reactivity of silicone rubber compound and hardness of elastomer can be adjusted as desired. System consists of 4 modules: 2 base components and 2 catalyst components. From these modules, processor mixes 2 components of RTV-2 silicone rubber compound in quantities needed for curing. Mixing ratio for catalysts determines how reactive system is and how fast rubber cures. ELASTOSIL® VARIO is translucent and suitable for encapsulating, coating, and mold making.
VOC-Free Additive makes gypsum dry-mix mortar water repellent.Wacker Chemical Corp. Chino, CA 91710
Jun 04, 2013 Used to render gypsum-based dry-mix mortars hydrophobic, SILRES® BS POWDER S consists of methyl siliconate produced as colorless, free-flowing powder. Water repellency develops as soon as construction material has set, and gypsum dry-mix mortars formulated with this agent can be mixed with water quickly and without generating any dust. Requiring 0.2% by weight for effective use, product can be used with all types of gypsum, irrespective of pH, and in indoor environments.
VAE Dispersion bonds surfaces in paper and packaging industry.Wacker Chemical Corp. Chino, CA 91710
Jun 28, 2012 Based on vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymers, VINNAPAS® EP 8010 permanently bonds challenging paper and cardboard surfaces, such as coated or painted paper, and polymeric film. Aqueous dispersion is manufactured without use of alkylphenol ethoxylates and makes supplementary plasticizers unnecessary. Delivering heat-resistant bond, product is suited for formulating adhesives used in food packaging bags and up-market folding boxes, as well as laminated products for car interiors.
General-Purpose Adhesive/Sealant features tin-free formula.Wacker Chemical Corp. Chino, CA 91710
Feb 08, 2012 Intended for household appliance, automotive, and electronics sectors, ELASTOSIL® N9111 single-component silicone rubber compound cures at room temperature in presence of atmospheric moisture to yield silicone with optimized heat resistance and mechanical properties. This alkoxy-curing RTV-1 system, formulated with tin-free catalyst, is fully compatible with platinum-catalyzed silicone products, even in uncured state. Cured rubber is resistant to UV light and temperatures up to 200°C.
Liquid Silicone Rubber Grades deliver optimal fire protection.Wacker Chemical Corp. Chino, CA 91710
Dec 05, 2011 Minimizing mold fouling, ELASTOSIL® LR 3011/50 FR is formulated with inert fillers that work together to produce flame-retardant properties without abrasive additives. Vulcanizates are UL 94 V-0 rated. Addressing 2-component injection molded products, self-adhesive ELASTOSIL® LR 3170/40 also meets V-0 flammability rating of UL 94 standard. It uses self-bonding technology and is formulated such that it begins bonding to hard components but not surface of injection mold during vulcanization.
Biocompatible Silicone Adhesive targets medical applications.Wacker Chemical Corp. Chino, CA 91710
Dec 02, 2011 Formulated with catalyst that does not use organotin compounds, SILPURAN® 4200 is safe to use from health standpoint. Single-component silicone rubber adhesive is certified as biocompatible in accordance with selected ISO 10993-1 and USP Class VI tests. Upon vulcanization, SILPURAN® 4200 forms silicone elastomer with optimal mechanical strength. Pasty, self-leveling compound shows shear thinning behavior, can be applied manually or automatically, and is cured by exposure to air moisture.
Silicone Fluid cools and insulates transformers.Wacker Chemical Corp. Chino, CA 91710
Jul 23, 2010 Suitable for cooling and insulating electrical machinery such as power generators, POWERSIL® Fluid TR20 features low viscosity of 20 mm²/sec with flashpoint of 240°C and ignition point of 270°C. Fluid is resistant to oxidation and offers cold start capability. With pour point below -50°C, product is beneficial when applied to wind turbines.
