Fiber Laser Cavities support applications up to 1 kW.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
May 01, 2013 Rated at 500 W, TrueMode-15™ supports up to 36 pump laser diode inputs, within typical 0.15 NA. TrueMode-22™, targeted for 1 kW applications and beyond, supports up to 18 pump laser diode inputs, within typical 0.22 NA. Both single-laser cavities are compatible with OFS' TrueM2™ Beam Combiners, which can combine multiple laser cavities.

Fiber Optic Cables are suited for commercial aircraft systems.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
Feb 11, 2013 FlightLink™ 50 µm OM3 can support 100 Gbit Ethernet up to 100 m. For applications that require single mode performance, FlightLink Bend Optimized Single Mode offers enhanced bend performance combined with standard-sized mode field. Incorporating OFS fibers, buffer, braided strength members, and outer jacket, all avionics cables are qualified to 200°C and designed with identical tight buffer construction that eliminates kinking.

Coherent Mixer integrates multiplexer/demultiplexer.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
Mar 11, 2011 Coherent Mixer, a key component required at signal receiver in optical digital coherent scheme, is integrated with polarization multiplexer/demultiplexer, resulting in compact device that eliminates characteristics degradation at connected part. Designed for ultra-high bit rate 100 Gbps digital coherent transmission, device features loss uniformity of 1 dB or better, low skew of 1 psec or better, and polarization extinction ratio of 18 dB or higher.

Raman Amplifiers include automatic gain control.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
Mar 11, 2011 In combination with erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, HPU42000 Series Amplifiers optimize optical signal-to-noise ratio and compensate for optical loss resulting from optical transmission lines and optical components. With built-in AGC function, output power per channel at each amplifier is kept constant by controlling gain automatically, optimizing integration in transmission systems.

C-Band Tunable Laser meets 100 Gbps transmission demands.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
Mar 10, 2011 Full-band tunable laser delivers optical output of higher than 40 mW with linewidth of lower than 500 kHz. With tunable wavelength range of 1,528-1,564 nm (C band), laser offers performance suited for use as signal light source and/or local light source for digital coherent communication systems. Side-mode suppression ratio is greater than 40 dB, average relative intensity noise is less than -145 dB/Hz, and wavelength stability is less than ±2.5 GHz.

Polarimeter Device meets Telcordia GR-468 qualification.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
Mar 10, 2011 Suited for telecommunications, sensors, and test and measurement applications in fiber optics industry, Model IPLM measures full polarization state, or Stokes vector. Hermetically packaged, in-line polarimeter provides less than 0.8 dB insertion loss and less than 0.15 dB polarization dependent loss, facilitating integration of polarimetric devices in both new and existing applications.

Fiber Optic Cable exhibits stability over temperature range.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
Jan 27, 2011 Designed with standard size and optical performance in compliance with ITU - T G652, Phase Stabilized Optical Fiber (PSOF) Cable is used for transmitting base band signals in synchronized measurement systems. Cable, constructed with aramid strength members and outer PVC jacket with 2.8 mm dia, is buffered with liquid crystal polymer, which has negative thermal expansion coefficient. Thermal stability of propagation time is less than or equal to 5 psec/km/°C over 0 to +35°C range.

Fiber Optic Cable meets ARINC 802 specifications.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
Apr 16, 2010 Incorporating 62.5 micron multimode, graded-index optical fiber, FlightLink(TM) Cable features tight buffer construction that eliminates kinking of loose tube construction. Cable operates from -55 to 125°C and meets or exceeds ARINC 802 specification, including size, weight, smoke, toxicity, and flammability. Suited for pressurized and non-pressurized areas of aircraft, cable can be used for in-flight entertainment systems, in-flight networking systems, and display systems.

Cabling System brings fiber to multi-dwelling units.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
Mar 26, 2010 Designed to replace traditional indoor riser and drop system with exterior solution, EZ-Bend® Bundled MDU Cabling System is made with 5 or 6 EZ-Bend 4.8 mm indoor/outdoor cables stranded around messenger cable, which can be secured to roof or base of building as required by application. EZ-Bend Technology provides less than 0.1 dB per 5 mm radius turn bending loss performance at 1,550 nm using solid glass fiber construction and is splice compatible with typical installed fibers.

Handheld Fusion Splicer integrates active clad alignment system.

OFS, Specialty Photonics Division    Avon, CT 06001
Mar 24, 2010 Designed to endure harsh operating conditions, RoHS-compliant FITEL® S153A has rubber pads for shock/impact resistance and is water/dust resistant to IPX2/IP5X. Protection sleeve shrink time is 25 sec with pre-heating mode, splicing requires 9 sec, and up to 200 splicing cycles can be performed on one charge of 2 built-in rechargeable batteries. Tool can splice telecommunication fibers such as SM/MM as well as bend insensitive fiber and ultra bend insensitive fiber.
