Microcontrollers are built on 65 nm flash process technology.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Apr 26, 2013 Differentiating applications using targeted performance headroom with TM4C123x ARM® Cortex-M4 floating-point core operating at up to 80 MHz, Tiva™ C Series supports mixed-signal applications with integration of two 12-bit ADCs and 3 comparators. Full ADC accuracy is achievable at full 1 MSPS rating without any hardware averaging. Along with on-chip connectivity options, features include integrated EEPROM, standby currents as low as 1.6 µA, and up to 256 KB flash and 32 KB SRAM.

Analog Front End extends battery life of ECG equipment.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Feb 22, 2013 Supporting 1–5 leads, 3-channel ADS1293 is intended for biopotential measurement applications, such as portable ECG solutions, Holter monitors, and wireless patient monitoring equipment. Each channel can be independently programmed for specific sample rate and bandwidth. Consuming 300 µW per channel, 24-bit AFE includes simultaneous digital ECG and pace signals on each channel. Built-in error detection with alarm pin relieves controller from continuously polling for error conditions.

Bidirectional I2C Isolators extend industrial isolation lifetime.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Dec 14, 2012 Supplied in 8-pin SOIC packages, ISO1540 and ISO1541 can replace typical implementation of 16 or more discrete devices to isolate I˛C signal. Transient immunity of ±50 kV/µsec typ and switching time with max propagation delay of 62 nsec extend isolation. While ISO1540 provides 2 isolated bidirectional channels for clock and data lines for use in applications with multiple masters, ISO1541 includes bidirectional data and unidirectional clock channel for single-master applications.

Integrated Microcontrollers simplify co-processor design.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Dec 10, 2012 Supporting main supply rail (1.8–3.6 V) and I/O supply rail (1.8 V ±10%), MSP430F521x/F522x MCUs eliminate need for level translators and can operate as ULP co-processor to such higher power/performance devices as OMAP™ processor and Sitara™ platforms. MCUs, offering 3.5 µsec wake-up time and standby power consumption of as little as 1.4 µA, can be used to offload functions such as sensor hub, keyboard control, battery/power management, capacitive touch, haptics, and proximity detection.

Export Tools help transfer power, LED lighting designs to CAD.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Nov 26, 2012 Offered as online tool, WEBENCH® Schematic Export lets engineer instantly export dynamically created power and LED lighting designs to platforms such as Cadence OrCAD Capture CIS, Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, and Altium formats. Designer can optimize and export power supply design created with TI WEBENCH Power or LED Designer or complete power supply system created with WEBENCH Power or LED Architect. Solution is supported with schematic symbols for 30,000+ components.

Power Controller IC targets automotive applications.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Apr 11, 2012 Dual output power supply, TPS43330-Q1 series, ensures stable and uninterrupted output voltages, even when input voltage drops significantly below output voltage levels such as with instances involving car's start/stop function. Input range of 2-40 V and transients up to 60 V ensure continued operation, while spread spectrum frequency modulation reduces conducted EMI. Along with multiple voltage rails and voltage supervisors, series integrates dedicated high-side FET driver.

Delta-Sigma ADC (16-bit) is targeted towards automotive market.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Mar 23, 2012 Supplied in 3 x 3 mm MSOP-10 (DGS) package, automotive-qualified ADS1115-Q1 supports up to 860 samples/sec and integrates low-drift reference, programmable gain amplifier (PGA), 4-channel mux, and oscillator. For applications such as battery monitoring systems in HEV/EV vehicles and fuel/oil pressure sensing, integrated programmable comparator allowing over- or under-voltage threshold monitoring. Consuming 150 µA at 2 V, ADC has 2-5.5 V supply range and -40 to 125°C operating range.

RF DC/DC Switching Converters extend smartphone battery life.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Mar 08, 2012 Designed to minimize power consumption of RF power amplifiers across all operating conditions, Model LM3242 supports up to 1 A and is compatible with 3G/4G applications, while Model LM3243 supports up to 2.5 A and is compatible with 2G/3G/4G applications. Devices dynamically adjust power delivered to PA based on how much power is actually needed. Both ICs achieve 95% efficiency and feature multiple modes of operation to maximize efficiency for all battery and output conditions.

Ultra-Low-Power MCUs suit energy monitoring applications.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Jan 31, 2012 Consuming 1.4 µA in standby mode, 16-bit MSP430F673x/F672x Series guarantees no interruption of operation through backup-capable MCU supporting RTC operation and power management from main power supply and up to 2 auxiliary supplies. ICs integrate 24-bit sigma-delta with programmable gain amplifier and less than 0.1% accuracy across 2400:1 dynamic range. Enabling segment and blinking control and dual display memory, 320-segment LCD driver can run in 8-MUX mode to support multiple LCD devices.

DLP Evaluation Module supports spatial light steering.

Texas Instruments, Inc., Semiconductors    Dallas, TX 75243
Jan 27, 2012 Equipped with TMS320DM365 processor, DLP® LightCrafter(TM) is based on reference design for TI's 0.3 in. WVGA resolution DLP chipset, which enables high-speed spatial light modulation. Chipset comprises DLP3000 MEMS device with 415,872 microscopic mirrors and DLPC300 controller, which operates micromirror array. Module also includes 128 MB NAND flash memory and configurable I/O trigger. Through USB-based API and GUI, developers can create, store, and display high-speed pattern sequences.
