Feb 20, 2004 CleanBeamâ„¢ 56 ICS-Series Red and NIR Laser Systems output 635, 640, 660, 785, or 830 nm with power ranging from 7–40 mW, wavelength dependent. Output can be modulated at rates up to 5 MHz, standard or 350 MHz, optional. Spatially filtered output beam is round with M² factor of less than 1.2. Laser temperature is controlled by thermoelectric cooler that stabilizes output power. Fully self-contained systems are CE and CDRH certified and require only 5 Vdc to operate.

Feb 20, 2004 Series 56 ICS Violet Laser Systems output 408 or 440 nm with power up to 24 or 3.5 mW, respectively. Beams can be modulated up to 5 MHz. Laser temperature is controlled by thermoelectric cooler, which stabilizes output power, minimizing wavelength drift. Suited for laser-induced fluorescence and metrology applications, fully self-contained systems are CE and CDRH certified and require 8 Vdc to operate.

Feb 03, 2004 APT System provides USB connectivity, client/server-based software, and intuitive GUI, resulting in out-of-the-box operation without additional interface cards or software development. Operator interacts directly with APT controllers via graphical instrument panels that expose operating parameters and modes. Instrument panels are implemented as ActiveX® controls and can be inserted into customized software applications without additional coding.

May 20, 2002 AlignMeter® simultaneously measures laser beam position and angular displacement for beams up to 8 mm in diameter. Absolute angle and position can be measured with accuracies of 1 mrad and 1 micrometer, respectively, without having to know distance of source from sensor. Results are updated at 10 Hz. It also measures absolute output power from 10 microWatts to 10 mW at wavelengths from 350 nm to 1.06 micrometers. Card-based system requires host PC.

Jan 17, 2002 Invarigon-Râ„¢ family of telecentric gauging and metrology imaging lenses allow precise gauging of 3D objects. Telecentric lens views or displays entire object from same perspective angle, preventing 3D features from exhibiting perspective distortion and image position errors. Objects inside deep holes are visible (undistorted) throughout field. Applications include inspecting objects or scenes where image size and shape accuracy is crucial.

Dec 17, 2001 APC automatic power control lets company’s diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser systems be switched between ACC(automatic current control) and APC via RS232. In APC mode, system will maintain precise level of output over long periods of time. This is suitable for measurement and scanning applications where long-term stability and repeatability is critical. It also increases system life by optimizing laser current for specific output power.

Melles Griot    Irvine, CA 92606
Dec 17, 2001 Lenses, mirrors, prisms and beam splitters are made from UV-grade synthetic fused silica with ultrafine laser polish and 10-5 scratch dig specification. Thin-film optical coating is designed for performance in ultraviolet at 193 Nm, 248 Nm or 355 Nm. Applications include materials processing such as production of integrated circuits; hole drilling, microstructuring and marking; surface treatment and annealing; and fiber Bragg grating writing.

Dec 17, 2001 WinCamD 3-dimensional beam intensity profiler features 4.65 µm square pixel size and 14-bit analog-to-digital converter that gives it greater than 16,000 levels of intensity resolution. WinCamD includes pass/fail settings for beam width, relative power, Gaussian and top hat fit, and data logging. It can be used for pulsed (as low as 1 Hz) or continuous-wave beams. Use of variable electronic shutter provides dynamic range of 60,000:1.
