May 28, 2013 Specifically designed for welding on galvanized or thin-gauge steels, FabCOR® F6 operates with 75–95% argon/CO2 balanced shielding gas, resulting in welds with 76,000–76,500 psi tensile strength. Optimized arc characteristics result in consistent welds and gap-bridging capabilities, while low sub-surface porosity supports consistent weld quality. Available in 0.035, 0.039, and .045 in. diameters, wire is formulated for use with DCEN polarity, assuring minimal risk of burn-through.

Apr 29, 2013 Available in 0.045 and 1/16 in. diameters, Element™ gas-shielded, flux-cored wires address stringent environmental requirements and recommendations set forth by ACGIH and OSHA. Each 71-type wire offers tensile strength in 70,000–75,000 psi range, while 81-type products produce welds with tensile strength from 80,000–85,000 psi. In addition to low spatter, consistent arc stability, and out-of-position welding capability, wires feature low hydrogen levels of 5.0 mg per 100 g of weldment.
Metal-Cored Wire offers high-quality welds, reduced cleanup.

Apr 27, 2012 Offered in .045, .052, and 1/16 in. dia, Hobart® FabCOR® Edge MC wire features silicon control technology that helps minimize silicon island deposits and reduces need for post-weld cleaning. Deposition rates can increase productivity up to 30% in constant voltage (CV) applications, and higher rates can be achieved when used with power source offering pulsing capabilities. Wetting characteristics help create smooth, flat weld beads with uniform fusion and smooth, stable arc.

Apr 09, 2012 Designed for optimal weld quality on offshore drilling rig applications and jack-up rig fabrication, FabCO® 712M welding wire has less than 4 ml diffusible hydrogen per 100 g of weldment. This decreases chance of underbead cracking and can lessen requisite preheating, while degree of moisture pickup minimizes chance of hydrogen entering weld after exposure to atmosphere. Supplied in 0.045 and 0.052 in. dia, wire has tensile strength of 83 ksi in as-welded condition and 80 ksi after PWHT.

Sep 14, 2011 Designed for welding in flat and horizontal positions, Metalloy® 71 SG features high deoxidizer levels capable of welding through mill scale. Optimized wetting characteristics ensure smooth weld beads with uniform tie-in and help minimize weld defects and associated rework. By generating low hydrogen weld deposit of 3.3 mL per 100 g of weldment, gas shielded metal-cored wire helps mitigate cracking. Metalloy® 71 SG comes in .045 in. diameter and provides tensile strength from 70-87 ksi.

Jul 28, 2011 Available in both 1/16 and 5/64 in. diameters, self-shielded Fabshield® 79T8(TM) and 79T8 Ni2(TM) provide out-of-position welding capabilities and generate fast-freezing, self-peeling slag to minimize clean-up time. Low temperature impact values keep welds ductile and prevent cracking. Fabshield 79T8 provides Charpy V-Notch (CVN) property of 135 lb-ft at -40°F/°C for 5/64 in. diameter, while Fabshield 79T8 Ni2 offers 96 lb-ft CVN for same diameter at same temperatures.

May 05, 2011 Tri-Mark® TM-811N1 and TM-811N2 are gas-shielded, flux-cored welding wires designed to improve weldability and productivity on out-of-position welding applications. To promote good CVN (Charpy V-notch) impact values at low temperature, TM-811N1 and TM-811N2 offer respective weld deposits of 1% and 2% nickel. Both offer stable arc and flat bead profile that provide consistent weld quality and minimize rework, while spatter, freezing, and slag characteristics reduce post-weld cleanup.

Feb 18, 2010 Suited for welding A515, A710, EQ56 and similar HSLA and Q&T steels found in offshore and structural applications, Hobart® FabCO® 107G all-position, gas-shielded welding wire offers tensile strength in 100-110 ksi range in as-welded or post-weld heat-treated condition. It has stable arc for optimal beam profile, produces low spatter, and has easy-to-remove slag. Available in 0.045 and 0.052 in. dia, wire can also be used to weld 4130 chrome-moly or 8630 nickel-chrome-moly pipes.

Dec 16, 2009 Designed for use on structural steel weldments, XLNT-6(TM) wire offers impact strength of 25 ft-lb at -20°F and resists cracking in applications subject to severe weather. It provides tensile strength of 87,200 psi with yield strength of 66,250 psi. Offered in 3/32 and 5/64 in. dia, wire conforms to AWS A5.20 requirements and can be used for single or multi-pass welding. Wire also features fast-freezing, easy-to-remove slag to prevent slag entrapment.

Metal-Cored Wire suits welding at sub-zero temperatures.

Hobart Brothers Co.    Troy, OH 45373-2900
Nov 18, 2009 Usable with 75% Argon/25% CO2 or 98% Argon/2 % O2 shielding gas mixtures, Tri-Mark® Metalloy® 80N1 provides tensile strengths ranging from 85,900 to 90,000 psi, respectively. Wire is designed for both single- and multi-pass welding on 1/2 Ni-1/4 Mo, 1 Ni-1/4 MO, and 1-1/2 Ni-1/2 Mo steels. It can also be used for welding weathering steel applications where color match is not critical. Available in .045, .052, and 1/16 in. diameters, wire handles temperatures down to -50°F.
