Along with RS485 interface and 4-20 mA analog signal output through 2 mini-USB ports, DHS1900 and DHS3000 feature 150:1 distance to spot ratio as well as Hi/Low alarms; Max, Min, Avg, and Delta-T calculations; and adjustable emissivity. Tripod-mounted HSA1500 offers 1500:1 distance to spot ratio.

Both cavity and hot plate types have dull black surfaces to achieve emissivity of as close to 1 as possible. Models with built-in or standalone temperature controllers are available, and communication ports on select models allow users to set points for automatic test applications.

Jan 21, 2010 Optimized for accuracy and usability, HSICBB-P is used for single point calibration verification and checking of IR Thermal Imaging Cameras and Point IR Thermometers. Operation consists of turning instrument on and choosing °F or °C, setting thermal imaging camera or IR thermometer to correct emissivity, and aiming at target area. Comparison of readings will confirm IR unit is within tolerance, and correction for zero error can be calculated. Accuracy is ±0.3°F from -40° to 158°F.
