Soft Start Control allows clutch to safely slip.

Soft Start Control allows clutch to safely slip.

Ogura Industrial Corp.    Somerset, NJ 08873
Apr 22, 2013 Intended for gas and diesel engines, Softstart Control option senses exact point at which friction surfaces contact, then rapidly reduces current to level that allows clutch to safely slip, but not release. Controller uses engine rpm feedback to adjust clutch current in manner that drives engine rpm to fit desired profile. By allowing for smooth engagement, control minimizes shock in system as well as stress on mechanical parts and eliminates belt jump.
Permanent Magnet Brake operates in temperatures to 140°C.

Mar 14, 2013 Featuring 17 mm max bore and 8,000 rpm max rating, 0.85 lb model PMB-06 comes standard with armature/hub and 24v coil but can be modified to specification. Size and 6.6 lb-ft of static torque make this brake suitable for medical and other portable applications. When brakes are released, airgap is present that completely releases armature for zero drag. Zero backlash suits servo and precision holding applications, and permanent magnets can apply controlled stop if needed.

Ogura Industrial Corp.    Somerset, NJ 08873
Sep 12, 2012 Supplied with lead wire and terminal, MIC-T series is available with customer-specified gear or dog hub output. Latter lets users incorporate different gears for varying needs. To minimize weight, clutches feature construction that utilizes all-plastic and powder metal design.
Pneumatic Caliper Disc Brakes resist vibration.

Ogura Industrial Corp.    Somerset, NJ 08873
Mar 07, 2012 Spring-applied and pneumatically released, Models ANB-1100-CP and ANB-2300-CP provide 11,000 N and 23,000 N of clamping force, respectively. Actual torque applied to given application is function of diameter of disc, and disc for either brake would be supplied by customer. Any time pneumatic pressure is lost, brakes can come on and hold in emergency, making them suitable for wind turbines and railcar shuttle equipment.
Spring-Engaged Clutches operate when power fails.

Spring-Engaged Clutches operate when power fails.

Ogura Industrial Corp.    Somerset, NJ 08873
Aug 11, 2011 Available in 10 sizes from 10-960 lb-ft, SMC series engages any time power is released. Power is only required when clutch needs to disengage, and series can also be used as standby or creep drives. Standard coil voltage is 24, but modified voltages are available. Also, bore sizes can be modified to meet application requirements. Areas of use include construction elevator, machine tool, and industrial machinery applications or when manual backup system/override is required.
Centrifugal Brake helps control manual rolling shutter doors.

Centrifugal Brake helps control manual rolling shutter doors.

Ogura Industrial Corp.    Somerset, NJ 08873
Jul 05, 2011 Model CFB Centrifugal Brake can prevent doors from freefall condition that can cause personnel injury or property damage. In normal speed condition, springs hold back brake shoes and door can be raised or lowered normally. In over-speed condition, brake shoes are applied by centrifugal force, slowing door down. Brake does not require any external controls and/or power sources. Additional applications include conveyors, hose reels, wire unwinding, and over speed protection in windmills.

Industrial Clutch and Brake employ sound dampening technique.

Ogura Industrial Corp.    Somerset, NJ 08873
Jun 01, 2011 Industrial clutch and brake V series, available with silent armature, accommodates applications in medical and entertainment industries, where extraneous noise is problematic. Attached to back side of armature, dampening material absorbs clicking sound from clutch or brake engagement. Clutches and brakes come in 6 sizes, from 4.5-150 lb-ft torque, and have standard operating voltage of 24 Vdc. Various DC coils can be made available, and bore sizes are offered in metric or inch.
Double Elevator Brake ensures safety of home elevators.

Double Elevator Brake ensures safety of home elevators.

Ogura Industrial Corp.    Somerset, NJ 08873
Feb 01, 2011 Intended for home elevators, Model RNB0.4WB-01 consists of 2 identical brakes mounted on one adaptor flange. Since brakes are holding only, both operate simultaneously when they are required to come on. In event of one brake failure, other unit is still capable of handling torque load required. Both brakes are equipped with limit switches that indicate when brake is either engaged or disengaged.
Caliper Disc Brakes operate when hydraulic pressure is applied.

Caliper Disc Brakes operate when hydraulic pressure is applied.

Ogura Industrial Corp.    Somerset, NJ 08873
Dec 23, 2010 Using hydraulic pressure to change torque, Models HOB-360CP, HOB-1200CP, and HOB-2800CP provide max clamping force of 810, 2,700, and 6,300 lb, respectively. Multiple brake modules can be used as well as multiple brake discs. Featuring modular design that facilitates assembly and replacement, brakes are primarily designed for heavy-duty work in machining centers and machine tools.
Spring Applied Holding Brakes feature thin profile.

Spring Applied Holding Brakes feature thin profile.

Ogura Industrial Corp.    Somerset, NJ 08873
Sep 30, 2010 With advances in friction material, redesigned RNB Series maintains same torque rating while eliminating need for higher force springs and correspondingly higher wattage oil. On some models, outside diameter has been slightly reduced, but all have same through hole mounting dimensions, so brake models are interchangeable. Brakes are suited for servo motor and robotics industries, where size and weight are of concern.
