Embedded units only interface with Datakey mating receptacles, which prevents data from being transferred to unauthorized PCs that lack RUGGEDrive receptacles. Supplied with 4 GB of non-volatile memory, UFX model provides USB flash drive functionality, while DFX model provides SD card functionality.

Model SGT4Kb contains 4 Kb of non-volatile, re-writable memory, which is accessed using SPI bus. Available as option, indicator on front side of token changes color after gamma sterilization. Receptacles that accept memory token are available in through-hole, surface-mount, and panel mount models.
