Built-in VTQ flow sensing element, which is resistant to pollutants, works on hot-film anemometer principle. Available with cable or plug connection, transmitter provides air velocity measurements as linear voltage output options of 0–1 V, 0–5 V, or 0–10 V. Alignment strip on probe and matching mounting flange facilitates installation and ensures proper alignment of sensor.

Measurements can be carried out in pipes of DN15 (½ in.) to DN300 (12 in.) and with operating pressure of 16 or 40 bar. Depending on application, signal outputs may be configured as analog (current or voltage), switching, or pulse type. Meter is compatible with compressed air, nitrogen, helium, argon, oxygen, and other non-corrosive gases. Based on direct thermal mass flow measuring principle, product employs hot-film sensor element and has 400:1 measuring range. Mounting concept, in combination with ball valve, accelerates installation and removal of device, which remains operational at all times.
