Microcontrollers suit space constrained applications.

Energy Micro AS    Oslo, N-0405
Apr 09, 2012 Housed in BGA48 packaging measuring 4 x 4 x 1 mm, EFM32 Gecko Microcontrollers are based on ARM® Cortex(TM)-M3 processor and require 150 µA/MHz when active. Devices run at clock speeds up to 32 MHz and provide up to 32 KB of flash memory and 4 KB of RAM. LESENSE function block enables monitoring of up to 16 capacitive, inductive, or resistive sensors independently of processor core. Applications include wireless sensor nodes, home automation systems, and portable health/fitness products.

MCU Development Kit supports advanced energy monitoring.

Mar 30, 2012 Equipped with ARM® Cortex(TM)-M3 EFM32G890F128 microcontroller, EFM32G-DK3550 Gecko Development Kit includes full SEGGER J-Trace and J-Link support, minimizing need for additional debugging tools. Board offers full color 320 x 240 resistive touch TFT display, supporting switches, joystick, and LEDs. With Simplicity Studio suite, all relevant system data can be read out and presented on host computer as real-time graphs of current consumption and related object code.

MCU Starter Kit promotes ULP product development.

Energy Micro AS    Oslo, N-0405
May 19, 2011 Starter kit EFM32TG-STK3300 provides users with all functionality needed to create ultra low power (ULP) system designs based on ARM® Cortex(TM)-M3 based EFM32 Tiny Gecko MCUs. Kit components include 8 x 20 segment LCD, supported by Tiny's sub µA LCD controller, as well as various light, touch, and motion sensors, which are all backed by MCU's low energy sensor (LESENSE) interface. Other features include choice of GPIO pins, serial communication ports, and debug connections.

MCU Starter Kit helps build energy-efficient applications.

Energy Micro AS    Oslo, N-0405
Mar 15, 2010 Starter kit for EFM®32 Gecko MCUs helps developers build applications based on 32-bit, ARM®Cortex(TM)-M3-based EFM32 Gecko MCUs. Kit includes MCU, 160-segment LCD driven by MCU's on-chip LCD controller, and touch slider to demonstrate its capacitive sensor interface capability. Other I/O includes 4 LEDs, 2 pushbuttons, and MCU reset button, with unused I/O terminated at board edge for access via PCB header. Advanced Energy Monitoring system enables real-time view of current consumption data.

Microcontrollers extend battery life by factor of 4.

Energy Micro AS    Oslo, N-0405
Oct 29, 2009 Based on ARM® Cortex(TM)-M3 architecture, 32-bit EFM32 Gecko Microcontrollers consume less than 180 µA/MHz while executing real life code from Flash. Units include 900 nA LCD controller, 8-channel 12-bit 1 Msamples/sec ADC running at less than 200 µA, 100 nA brown-out detector, 32 kHz real-time counter running at 50 nA, and UART capable of 9,600 bps at 100 nA. Offered in 22 models, MCUs operate from 1.8-3.8 V single supply rail at temperatures from -40 to +85°C.
