Redundant power variant, Model RS3614RPxs, features dual hot-swappable power supplies to withstand failure of power-circuit or power supply. Throughput can be enhanced with 2 PCIe Gen3 x8 expansion slots. Additional 24 bays can be added with two RX1214(RP) expansion chassis. Together, RS3614(RP)xs can accommodate total of 36 bays, adding up to 216 TB of raw storage — using 6 TB drives.

Quad-NIC configuration fuels read operations at 300+ MBps and write speeds of 190+ MBps. For added redundancy, RS814(RP)+ supports Synology High Availability and MPIO failover to reduce network downtime as well as lag.
