Ziehm Imaging Presents Complete flat-panel Portfolio at RSNA 2015

Latest generation of Ziehm mobile C-arms offer full intraoperative control in high-end applications in orthopedic, traumatology, spine surgery and hybrid applications

CHICAGO and NUREMBERG, Germany - At this year's RSNA annual meeting, innovation leader Ziehm Imaging invites attendees to experience the most complete mobile C-arm portfolio with flat-panel technology on the market. The highlight on display is Ziehm Vision RFD 3D, the world's only 3D C-arm with flat-panel technology that provides a 16 cm edge length per scan volume. In addition, Ziehm Imaging presents Ziehm Vision RFD Hybrid Edition, the first fully motorized mobile C-arm in four axes which is ideally suited for hybrid room applications. Visitors will also get an exclusive preview of Ziehm Solo FD(1) that will bring high-end CMOS flat-panel technology to the mid-range segment for the first time.

Setting new standards for clinical benefits

Ziehm Solo has become the first choice for small operating rooms over the years. This single unit comprises a compact and versatile C-arm, full-size monitor and intuitive touchscreen user interface. All functions required for an optimal image acquisition, processing and archiving are integrated in this C-arm. At RSNA, Ziehm Imaging presents a preview of Ziehm Solo FD, introducing flat-panel CMOS technology on a full size mobile C-arm, delivering outstanding image quality. The system specifically addresses the clinical needs in general surgery, orthopedics and traumatology.

Ziehm Vision RFD 3D, the new Ziehm Imaging flagship product, combines 2D and 3D functionality to offer full intraoperative control in high-end applications in orthopedics, traumatology and spine surgery.

With its 30 cm by 30 cm flat-panel and up to 7 cervical vertebrae in one scan volume, this mobile C-arm offers the largest 3D image volume on the market.

Ziehm Vision RFD Hybrid Edition, the first fully motorized mobile C-arm in four axes, offers a flexible, space and cost saving alternative to fix installed systems for hybrid room applications. The joystick module features a function for defining an isocenter which the system moves concentrically around. In addition to numerous orthopedic applications, the isocentric functionality offers added clinical value in particular for cardiac applications.

Imaging excellence in mini C-arms

Ziehm Imaging's sister company OrthoScan specializes in mini C-arms and is known for its great value in orthopedic surgical procedures for extremities. It is the first company to introduce flat-panel detectors, a standard for digital imaging, within this class of device. OrthoScan will present its portfolio of powerful mini C-arms at RSNA, including OrthoScan FD Pulse, the mini C-arm with pulsed fluoroscopy.

Focus on optimized uptime

Ziehm Remote Service optimizes uptime in clinics worldwide. Ziehm Imaging service experts can directly assess² the status of the mobile C-arm and in many cases resolve the issue immediately. In cases where the problem cannot be solved remotely the service expert can often identify the cause of the problem or the components that are faulty and can arrange for the required spare parts or a service engineer to be sent to the clinical site. This approach ensures quicker system recovery and shorter interruptions of the clinical workflow.
