Yale to Showcase Advanced Lift Truck Technology at 2015 IFDA Conference

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Yale Materials Handling Corporation announces its lineup for the 2015 International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) Distribution Solutions Conference at the Phoenix Convention Center, Oct. 26-28. Located in booth #341, the company will feature two Yale® lift truck models, the ESC030AD three-wheel stand and MPR080VG enclosed end rider, as well as information on its Yale Vision wireless asset management and lithium-ion Advanced Performance Power System (APPS).

The Yale® enclosed end rider and three-wheel stand lift trucks offer several ergonomic enhancements to increase maneuverability and operator productivity in demanding multi-shift applications. Both trucks feature a multifunction control handle that allows for use with freezer gloves, enabling precise load positioning in cold storage applications without the need for heaters. In addition, the trucks are equipped with Yale® iSi Technology™, a common control system with consistent functionality across Yale’s line of warehouse trucks. This technology utilizes the same software, diagnostic codes and functionality – creating commonality for users, supervisors and service personnel.

"Yale is an established leader in materials handling solutions for food distributors, and the needs of that market continue to drive innovation," says Chris Murtha, Industry Manager for Yale. "Our trucks, power technology and asset management services deliver maximum uptime and efficiency, backed by local support from an extensive dealer network."

The Yale Vision wireless asset management system drives fleet efficiency by using the right data and expertise to improve performance and lower overall materials handling costs. Almost any lift truck or work vehicle can be equipped with Yale Vision, as well as its optional global positioning system (GPS) feature, which adds a heightened layer of monitoring to track fleet movement and impact locations, providing actionable real-time data to help optimize materials handling operations.

Earlier this year, Yale launched the first commercially available UL-recognized lithium-ion battery pack in the lift truck industry. With extended run times, excellent charging capabilities and a smaller footprint, the lithium-ion battery offers an efficient, productive power alternative, ideal for beverage and food delivery applications. It is completely maintenance free, meaning it does not require watering and contains no acid, and is engineered to last up to five times longer than traditional lead acid batteries. Yale backs the lithium-ion battery back a five year limited warranty.
