10:15-11:45 a.m. Business Forum Panel: "Putting the 'D' Back into DFM"
Xilinx panelist Peter Rabkin, Program Director, will join a panel discussion examining the issues surrounding DFM. Among the topics to be addressed are: how the design community can account for the limitations of lithography and RET; what the manufacturing community can provide -- such as data -- to designers; and how lithography simulation can bridge the gap between design and manufacturing.
12:00-12:30 p.m. DesignVision Awards Ceremony and Keynote Address: "Triple Play Drives Demand for Programmable Solutions"
Xilinx Chairman, President and CEO Roelandts joins a prestigious line-up of keynote speakers at DesignCon 2007, including Steve Polzin, Senior Fellow and Chief Platform Architect for AMD, and Leah Jamieson, IEEE 2007. Roelandts' keynote on the "triple-play" challenge will focus on the pressures and limits the industry faces in developing solutions to feed the insatiable appetite of the consumer and enterprise markets for voice, video and computer data communications on a single network.
Roelandts' address will immediately follow the DesignVision Awards ceremony. Xilinx PlanAhead 8.2 software is a finalist in the category of "Structured/Platform ASIC, FPGA, and PLD Design Tools." The intuitive hierarchical design and analysis solution was selected among a record number of competing products and technologies by independent industry experts representing the International Engineering Consortium (IEC).
Giving tribute to pioneering developments judged as the most beneficial to the design engineering community, this year's IEC Technical Program Committee consisted of 96 of the industry's top thought leaders.
